Beautiful Setting!
By Sally, 10/13/08
We loved this little motel. It sits in the most beautiful spot with a brook running through it. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. A little outdated but that was part of the charm. The owners were very nice. The only thing we didn't like was the limited TV channels. We will definitely book here again next time we get the chance to go.

Location,Location,Location....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/08
The motel needs to be upgraded, the furnishing and bathrooms (no towel bar in the bathroom and 5 channels on the TV). The beds were extremely comfortable! The mold and mildew smell is overpowering!!!

A Peaceful Gem in Vermont
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/08
We love this place and are looking forward to going back to Vermont and our favourite innkeepers at Farmbrook Motel this Summer. When our car broke down 2 yrs ago in Vermont while staying here, Jim the innkeeper at Farmbrook loaned us his van so we would not have to cut our trip short! Now that is what I call a generous thing to do. He has also recommended great places to eat nearby and a nice park to visit. We will continue to make Farmbrook our preferred place to stay. And.. who needs cable? There is too much to do and see and the drives are what we come for.. the beauty of Vermont can't be beat.

Stayed there in one night in 1984. It had the unique Vermont style and hospitality. I no longer have my wife, but I will always have the memory. wlr from nj

Antidote to the rat race!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/07
The rooms are all inviting and very comfortable, and the views are spectacular no matter what time of year. The sound of the babbling brook lulls you to sleep. When you wake up, you can have your morning coffee while watching all the gorgeous birds of the region stopping at the bird feeder. This is definitely an antidote for the rat race! Jim and Glenda are very familiar with places to go and things to see. Each of their recommendations for local restaurants and must-see attractions have all been wonderful! This is a jewel in the green mountains and should be on everyones list of places to stay, I guarantee you'll want to stay there again! We've been staying at the Farmbrook Motel during our yearly (and sometimes more often!)Vermont vacations for the past 15 years. Jim and Glenda are not just the owners, they have become friends we look forward to seeing each year.

Inexpensive, dated and cramped
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/07
My wife likened staying at the Farmbrook to staying in her grandmother's basement rec room ... musty ... dated ... vintage 1973. The grounds and the building's exterior are well kept but the rooms need to be redone. The bathroom and towels smelled so strongly of mold that we had to keep the door closed. It is cheap ... about half of what it would cost to stay anywhere else nearby.

Another WONDERFUL stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/07
Farmbrook never disappoints.... as we arrived the candle were lit in the windows, the babbling brook was streaming and we knew we were "home". The birds greeted us from their feeders as Glenda and Jim rushed out to meet us... Ahhhh !!! If you want to experience a treasure tucked in the Mountains of Vermont,go to Farmbrook. But don't tell too many ! we don't want to spoil our "special" place !!! Lucy & Bob, L.I. , New York

we absolutely loved it there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/06
Large, cozy rooms. Surrounded by babbling brooks. Very nice grounds and landscaping. Excellent hosts. We had the balcony room upstairs which are really nice rooms. You can watch the birds feed at the feeder. Very secluded location too which adds to the attractiveness. Next year we will be back!
