Imperial 500 Motel, Wildwood

They say that Cleanliness is next to Godliness, so Imperial 500 should be also ruled as a church b/c it is spotless. We love going there either by ourselves or with our family. We have stayed at many places over the past 35 years but this place is certainly the one that we try first to get reservations for. Thanks to Anne and Jackie and their hubby's for doing such a terrific job and providing such a pleasant place to stay.

I have been coming here for 19 years and my parents have been coming even longer. This Motel is family owned and operated (literally.. you can see the owners cleaning the pool, scrubbing the floors outside, and walking from room to room) and it shows! This place is extremely clean and very family oriented. From the new salt water pool, to the wireless Internet to the unblocked view of the ocean make this Motel put the surrounding to shame! Located a short walk from the beach and a green area right across the street leave you with a nice relaxing feeling. A 5 star feeling for a 3 star price. The maid service is impeccable and the way this place is run just makes you feel at home. Owners take pride in their investment and a motel to be passed through the generations. Not sure what the previous negative review writers problem was, but we have been staying here for 15 + years and wait for hours on the phone on Jan 2 as soon as the reservation lines open for the next season. They invest alot of $ in upgrades and something is new each year. They also take personal pride in the cleanliness of the place and you always see them walking around and picking up after less than courteous slobs. We come from upstate NY and now our kids families come as well. We DO know that they don't put up with rudeness or bad behavior - so maybe that was a tthe root of this persons problem.

I've been a guest at this awesome retreat on the Jersey shore for the better part of 19 years. The owners, Anne and Joe, have always treated me like their own family. Jackie, their daughter ,and Jimmy, son-in-law, have shared the helm for a few years now and it's wonderful seeing them and their children add to the spirit of why this is the place to come for a vacation. I started going there in the early 90's, and as a single parent of two small children,lways felt safe and comfortable knowing they were living on the property. The facility is spotless as Joe and Jimmy strive daily to make it the best place to be "a home away from home." I've vacationed there with my kids and recommended this place to all my friends. I just love visiting every year. The daytime view from the patio is spectacular and it's equally enjoyable in the evening with an adult beverage watching the world go by beneath you. Kudos to the Imperial 500 for being the best vacation spot on the Jersey shore. See you all this September! (Linda from Union, NJ)

Dislikes? NONE Likes........... great location, wonderful staff and owners, I have never stayed at a place so well maintained and cleansed on a daily basis. This motel looks like it is brand new. It is the perfect size also. You can always find a place to sit, relax or eat. This is the first time I have been back to Wildwood Crest in years, and I can't wait to come back next year and stay at the Imperial 500.

I have been going to the Imperial 500 almost every summer for over 20 years! My first trip was in 1984 and I was hooked. This is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest motel in town. The place is so clean you could eat off the concrete! They actually bleach the concrete on a regular basis. The pool is beautiful and the rooms comfortable. Over the years I have gotten to know the owners and their family. If I call and the Imperial is booked...we just don't go to Wildwood!

We've stayed at the Imperial500 many many years now. It's really nice and clean -- the staff is really friendly and the view is beautiful. We plan on going there for many years to come!

you will not find a more inviting motel in wildwood crest. It is very comfortable for the whole family. The owners are great. It feels like you are visiting a second home year after year.
