Imperial 500 Motel, Wildwood Crest

I've been a guest at this awesome retreat on the Jersey shore for the better part of 19 years. The owners, Anne and Joe, have always treated me like their own family. Jackie, their daughter ,and Jimmy, son-in-law, have shared the helm for a few years now and it's wonderful seeing them and their children add to the spirit of why this is the place to come for a vacation. I started going there in the early 90's, and as a single parent of two small children,lways felt safe and comfortable knowing they were living on the property. The facility is spotless as Joe and Jimmy strive daily to make it the best place to be "a home away from home." I've vacationed there with my kids and recommended this place to all my friends. I just love visiting every year. The daytime view from the patio is spectacular and it's equally enjoyable in the evening with an adult beverage watching the world go by beneath you. Kudos to the Imperial 500 for being the best vacation spot on the Jersey shore. See you all this September! (Linda from Union, NJ)

Dislikes? NONE Likes........... great location, wonderful staff and owners, I have never stayed at a place so well maintained and cleansed on a daily basis. This motel looks like it is brand new. It is the perfect size also. You can always find a place to sit, relax or eat. This is the first time I have been back to Wildwood Crest in years, and I can't wait to come back next year and stay at the Imperial 500.

I have been going to the Imperial 500 almost every summer for over 20 years! My first trip was in 1984 and I was hooked. This is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest motel in town. The place is so clean you could eat off the concrete! They actually bleach the concrete on a regular basis. The pool is beautiful and the rooms comfortable. Over the years I have gotten to know the owners and their family. If I call and the Imperial is booked...we just don't go to Wildwood!

We've stayed at the Imperial500 many many years now. It's really nice and clean -- the staff is really friendly and the view is beautiful. We plan on going there for many years to come!

you will not find a more inviting motel in wildwood crest. It is very comfortable for the whole family. The owners are great. It feels like you are visiting a second home year after year.

We spend every weekend during July and August at the Imperial 500. The rooms and grounds are extremely clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. We wouldn't think of spending our vacation anywhere else.

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel in wildwood. We have been vacationing in this area for 35 years. I will tell you the hotel grounds are immaculate. The hotel staff is very friendly. We had a problem with the refrigerator and the staff replaced it immediately. The rooms poolside however are very small and outdated. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. So, my recommendation would be if you're not looking for comfort, and can sleep anywhere this is the place for you.

While the Wildwoods are famous for their many 50s and 60s-era motels, you do have to be careful as some of the motels are not very well-kept and downright dirty. The Imperial 500, however, is a safe bet for Wildwood. The staff & owners are very dedicated to this hotel. They care about keeping it clean and giving their guests a satisfying experience. Joe & Anne and their daughter and her husband are the friendliest hotel owners I have ever come across, and also some of the most dedicated. The rooms are very, very clean and all of them are refurbished every couple of years. The maids do a great job cleaning and if they come at an inconvenient time for you (they have come too early in the past) they make sure to return when it's convenient for you. The motel also has a lot of features, including a pool, now heated, an arcade, an oceanfront sun deck, and pool tables. The motel is not on the beach but there is no motel in front of it to block it's view of the ocean. The lot in front of the motel used to be empty, but now is being turned into a park and outdoor fitness center. Overall this is the best place to stay!!!
