more of us returning every year
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/10
We began going there with friends a dozen years ago and while our friends have moved on after many happy and fun filled Columbus Day weekends our family at this magical retreat has grown to 20+and it has become the family event of the year. A wonderful experience .

New Hamshires best kept secret...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/20/09
Our family (The McDonalds) from MA, GA, and MI love the Seven Dwarfs Motel, we are regular guests. It's perfect for a tight budget, we love the location, the rooms are great, the hospitality unsurpassed, the grounds are just beautiful and we especially enjoy the barbecue and bonfire area near the stream. Our little ones even enjoy the playground, the place is awesome!

My daughters and I went here and had a great time in the summer. We r from florida so the cool nights and moutain views were awesome. The campfire was really nice also. The owners are very nice and keep the rooms very clean. I would love to go in the winter when u can use the snowmobile trails.

Try your best not to stay in this motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/07
I been there before, the Motel owner (I guess) attitude is rude. Room is as dirty as you can imaginable. Bed and carpet are very smelly, my skin felt very itchy after that night, worse thing is toilet bowl is leak out water ( don't know is before or after all "waste process" ? **sigh ), whole toilet floor smelly, WET and COLD. Highly not recommend to stay.

Highland Games at Loon Mountain
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/07
We literlly just got back from the Highland Games at Loon Mountain and we stayed at The Seven Dwarfs motel for the second year in a row. Last year I found the Seven Dwarfs online while looking for motels near Loon but due to my lack of planning all the hotels/motels were full. Someone suggested I try the Twin Mountain area and low and behold I found the Dwarfs. As you can read in the other reviews the motel is a throwback to the 50-60's and It sure Isn't the Comfort Inn but who wants a room just like everyone elses?! Not me! There is a lighted walkway to a secluded area where you can grill, dine in the screened in porch and even a fire pit to sit around and tell stories. Franz and Rose are the nicest people in NH (and the people there are nice already). There is onsite eating for breakfast and dinner and the food is made to order. Bottom line is the price is right, the rooms are spotless and It's safe to say you won't be disappointed. So, If your attending the Highland Games and you need a place to stay call Rose and Franz they are only a short scenic twenty minutes from the parking area. And If you'r not going to the Highland Games and just need to stay at a nice place in NH call them :)

By ww, 2/15/07
They are very friendly, out going, kind, and ready to make your vacation what you want it to be. My whole family has stayed at this lodge and enjoyed it so much that we keep going back.

The Szwakmary's will make you feel like family!
By SARAH, 1/3/06
Franz & Rose will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The 7 Dwarfs is a step back in time - rustic (older)decor that is kept immaculately clean. Each room is unique (we have stayed in 4, 2 several times) and each offer different amenities - from small to large refrigerators/small kitchenettes. You can get a room with a separate bedroom for the kids too! Safe, well off the main road, with a beautiful play area for the kids and adults alike. Horseshoe pit, volleyball net, play area with swings and climbing structure. Walk back along the maintained path to the picnic/fire pit area for a relaxing break along a mountain river. Depending on the season, it may be running or ROARING! Walk the trails or hike into the mountains....and it is all just a short distance to many tourist activities and more great outdoor fun. But from your room you would never know it! We can't wait to get back - it has been much too long. We started going there when we were dating, honeymooned there and have since taken our son - he loves Franz and Rose as much as we do!!

Nice Place
By James, 1/2/06
I'm in the process of building a home in Twin. While working on the property I have stayed here three times. Each time the place was clean, the staff went out of there way to make the stay pleasant. I will return here each time until my house is complete. And Franz he's the best, always there to help and he is a good sorce of information for the area.

Already have reservations for next autumn.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/28/05
This is an out of the way, quiet, hotel away from the hustle of noisy mall villages. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, very neat, holding to a period of 50's -60's decor. If you want a luxurious hotel suite, this is not the place for you. If you want simplicity and the solitude of the White Mtns, stay here and spend some time hiking the trails directly out the back door. Been coming here for four decades!!!
