Royalty Inn, Gorham

First we booked using Priceline.com, so I guess that is why we given a room that smelled like a giant ashtray. The instant I stepped into my room, my eyes started to water due to the intense smell of cigarettes. I could hardly breathe the stench was so bad. When I asked for a different room because of this, the lady at the front desk gave me a very nasty look. The priceline website listed this as a 2 star hotel, but I would say it is only 1/2 star. The only good thing about this place was the indoor pool which didn't seem to be too dirty. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

good location clean, like the spa-racketball-pool.The price is very good and they are all very nice to us when we stay. we have stayed at other hotels in Gorham but Royalty is our first choice. It's also guieter than others,like that there are outside doors next to our car. We hike and the gear is just a few steps from our room. Great place!!

we made the reservation in december of 2005, we arrived on january5th 2006.They had lost our reservation, then they gave us a room that had cigarette burn holes and smelled like dirty jim socks!! when I complained they offered to refund only $20.00 of my money back, we were forced to sleep there, all other motels were booked! two thumbs down!

When we stayed it was clean, the pool area was well kept and enjoyable. Room/beds smaller than I imagined but served their purpose. On-site restaurant was just OK.

The rooms are sooooo clean!! Not to mention they have lots of space to move around. The people that work there are very nice and the location was great!!! I love the athletic club too! The kids had sooo much fun! Normally you can only find a pool and hot tub not an entire gym! It was great. 5 stars!
