Old Colonial Motel, Old Orchard Beach

I have read reviews about the motel and have to disagree with most of them. There are rooms with kitchenettes as i had one with my family the kitchenette rooms are just 1 open room and a room with the fridge microwave and coffeemaker have the separate bedroom. The pictures i saw u can clearly see that not every room has a private balcony or deck thats only the oceanfront unit. The parking is tight but you shouldnt have a problem as all parking is assigned to you at checkin. I have been staying here for many years with family and friends and love it

Just spent a week here over the 4th. Great rooms and great location. Only complaint was that the parking was extremely tight!

This hotel Look really nice online we payed for a ocean view room we got htere and we couldn't even see the ocean then they made us pat $50 extra. We walked into our room and it smelt like animal pee the bathroom was tinythe sink is so close to the toilet that my friends retainer case fell in it when she put in on the sink.They also said check in was at !! when we got there it wasn't ready untill 12 so we waited an hr for a horrible room. The pool also has a big ugly fence around it. The pattio around it is clapsing and it over all looks nothing like ti does online

Every year my family and I go to maine. We decided to stay at the Old Colonial beacause of the location and that it had two bedrooms.From the pictures online we were lead to believe that there was a private balcany on every room,so i was very dissapointed whaen I got there and we did not have one. My friend and I slept on the futon in the living room,very hard but what can u expect, my parents said that the bed in the bedroom was very hard also. The bathroom was long and narrow and had doors from the hallway and the bedroom(funny setup!). And last we also thought that there was supposed to be a kitchenett and there was not. the micorwave was next to the window the refrigerator was next to the futon under a table and the coffee maker was on the desk so if you need a kitchenet these rooms are not for you. But otherwise it was nice and the location is fantastic,but Im not sure that we would go back.

Service was not a top priority. The young managers seemed overwhelmed although pleasant. The rooms were awful, although clean. There was old fashion suspended ceiling tile even over the shower which were hanging down. There was only bent venetian blinds on the window which looked directly on the common porch. Although we had non-smoking room, smoking was allowed only two feet from our window as people sat out on the lawn chairs and smoked. I talked to some families and they loved it because the kids could play in the pool and they could walk to the amusemen park. It was just the wrong choice for us and expensive.
