Lovley's Motel, Palmyra

Reserved a room with visa wit the very unpleasant gentleman at the desk and return the following day. It was a very busy weekend and there were no vacancies anywhere but we were glad to have a place to sleep. IF ONLY THAT WERE THE CASE... We showed up at LOVELYS and was informed our room was given away due to rejected credit card. There was no explanation or sympathy, he almost made me feel like a criminal! Called the credit card company and they said nothing was wrong with my card so LOVELYS pulled a fast one on us. Dont know what the motel was like i didnt get pass the terrible service people at the desk

The room was clean the staff helpful. Would recommend to my friends....

This place was outdated in some areas but in all the price was great. The housekeepers are outstanding....True down to earth Ladies!!!! The rooms are very clean and comfy. Will be staying here again!!

We've stayed at this motel every year for the last three. It is clean, well run, with polite and helpful staff. Though there is no resteraunt attached or continental breakfast, there is however an abundance of places nearby to eat at. There is a place that we go to everytime called Angelers, and it is a great kept secret. The food is delicious. There is a bowling alley with sports bar across the street and a walmart nearby. Yet, with all of the excitement surrounding the area we always find that our stay is very quiet and restful. The rooms are cozy and there is free internet (always a bonus) The swimming pool was just recently renovated and looked beautiful, but its outdoors and I dont prefer too much sun. With that being said, the price is always reasonable and I find our stays here always to be a delight. We will definitely be returning to this "Lovley" place on our next visit to Maine.

It was my first time in Newport, Maine. The staff at this motel were very warm hearted and helpful. I was placed in a room with two queen sized beds facing the back parking lot and that was fine for me. To find a place to eat, there is about 17 places within a 3-mile radius. Everything you could think of. It was wonderful to me very peaceful town. Visisted Baxter the state parks are a blessing from god himself. Dont expect to much as amenities but the place was clean and the bed was comfortable. I will go again and stay because the price was very fair. Maybe if i am a frequent customer i could recieve dollars off the room rate.

rooms are dated, but with that said, comfy no big frills or discounts, price was ok, room was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, they don't advertise it but they had coffee and snacks in lobby besides coffee maker in room, pool was down being renovated...manager seemed gruff but in the morning the battery in my car was flat and he came right out and gave me a boost and got me on my way....saved me a call to the auto club....

The rooms were very comfortable, not a bad deal for a refridgerator and microwave plus brand new a/c unit... The staff was very nice and very helpful. Coffee and snacks were available in the front lobby, which just had a homey feeling to it. This motel is definately on my list of places to return when vacationing to Maine again.

This place is outdated, but that being said, I own a courier company & stayed there last night after rushing a medical delivery to the area. The room was absolutely spotless, The tv was nice, and everything was very clean. I thought $70 was a little steep, but for a quick place to sleep it was one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen--I also own a commercial cleaning co. too

this was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. It was so grose, that my husband and I had to go to the nearby walmart and buy blankets. WE didn't get there til 10 at night, so we had to make due. There was a hole in the ceiling, one of the lights didn't work, the tub didn't drain while baithing, there were stains all over the carpet and on the bed sheets and quilt. it was so grose!! DONT EVER STAY THERE!!

My family and myself had an emergency trip. We had to find somewhere to stay cheap and fast so we choose to stay at Lovely's. It won't happen again. We were not happy with this place at all. The place is in desperate need of some updating....The room definately could have been cleaner. I think it's to bad for such a convenient place to be so run down and not taken care of.
