Wonderful place to stay!
By ,
My husband and I had a May 2009 wedding here and we loved everything about the facility and what it had to offer. I travel a lot for business and when I stayed there prior to the wedding I knew for sure that this was the perfect place to have our wedding. Maria and Kent were very accomodating and I could not have asked for a better wedding! The rooms were clean and well decorated, the Great room was perfect for our 100 guests and the catering done by Chef Montes was unforgettable as well! Oh and don't forget the pianist Bill Trowell who was great to listen to.I can't wait to go back for our one year anniversary and you can bet we will be staying in a luxurious Mizzentop suite with a balcony with gorgeous views! Thanks to everyone at the Bluenose for a wonderful experience and to many more!

Best Service Ever
By ,
We did a lot of research before choosing the Bluenose and it totally exceeded our expectations! The staff could not have possibly been more attentive. From Kevin and Roy (bell staff) to Beatty (concierge) to Kevin (Rose Garden food and bev. manager) the service and advices were perfect. I suggest staying in the Mizzentop rooms which are huge and have fireplaces and private balconies. The view of the bay was breathtaking to say the least. Dinner at the Rose Garden was memorable and the food and service - 5 star. Perfect for that romantic getaway. The Inn is a little off the Bar Harbor village beaten path and that was exactly what we wanted. Close enough to go shop but not in the middle of the bustle. We will definitely go back!

WOW!
By ,
Most expensive hotel room we have ever paid for, and well worth every penny! Had a top floor room in the main building overlooking the bay....even had a fireplace! Clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. We were there as "leaf peepers", the hotel was sold out, and the service was still perfect. Afternoon tea was also a nice touch. The pool is not to be believed as well.

Lovely hotel
By ,
My husband and I just returned from our 2nd trip to the Bluenose Inn. The first trip, two years ago was so addicting that we just had to return for more! The rooms are huge, with beautiful floral tapestries, gas fireplaces and sweeping views of the harbor. The staff is extremely nice. Make sure you stop by and speak to Bea in the Gift Shop, she'll give you wonderful insights on what to see and do while you are there. (Besides she's just an incrediblly nice lady!)

Outstanding!
By ,
We got a great deal on the room, and the view was fantastic. Spend the extra money and get a top floor room. The balcony looks right over Frenchman's Bay, and we could easily watch the sunrise. The staff was friendly and courteous, not just cordial. We enjoyed going down to the lounge, sitting by the fire and listening to the pianist. We went in the fall, and the foliage was beautiful. Go see the sunset from Cadillac mountain, but dress warmly; it gets colder than you would think! The dinners were wonderful, and we tried several new dishes. One of the nicest touches was the Christmas card we received from the hotel, with some of their staff signing it. I've never had that happen. Oh, and when I left my jacket, they figured out whose it was and had it in the mail to me already by the time I called them! All in all, as warm and friendly a hotel as I've ever stayed in.

Truly Unbelievable

We stayed on our honeymoon and would love to return someday. It was the nicest hotel we have stayed in, and my husband travels a lot for work.

Heart of Bar Harbor
By ,
We stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting Arcadia National Park. The hotel faces the bay and is very convenient to the park. The hotel is actually 2 buildinga. The main building is the historic Blue Nose Hotel which also houses the restaurant. There is also an ancillary building behind the main building which is basically a 3 floor motor lodge (this is where we stayed). I was a bit disappointed because from the photos, I was expecting to be in the main building. So be sure to ask ahead of time! (also good idea to book well in advance during the summer and autumn months when it's high season!)

Elegant hotel and resturant
By ,
This is a beautiful inn with a fantastic veiw of Frenchmen's Bay. The view is actually breath taking. Enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from our deck. The hotel resturant was elegant and service and food excellent. We have never stayed in a hotel where the rooms were so clean! The staff is friendly and kind. Helping us out with our many questions since this was our first trip to Bar Harbor. Even the person we made the reservations with was patient and considerate again answering all sorts of questions. This was a dream come true for us. My husband loved the shower!!! Rooms were cleaned daily. The pool area very clean and inviting as well as the indoor pool and hot tub. Very inviting after a long day of touring! Highly recommend this hotel. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and gives one a chance to unwind. It is only a short ride or walk into town. Would definately stay here again.
