No hot water for morning shower.
I had to plan a one night stay in Sydney for a business event recently. I stayed in this hotel and my genuine experience left me quite appalled.
First off, the pros. The location is probably the only strong selling point for this hotel. It's the main reason I picked it, within walking distance from many key areas in the heart of Sydney. The rooms were clean, albeit somewhat small.
The view from the room just looks down on the street and there's nothing special to see with a skyscraper across the road.
This is also the heart of Sydney, so don't expect a peaceful night's sleep without hearing sirens and all sorts of street noises. I did get woken up once during the night from sirens.
The bad, well, the most important bit of information you should consider is that I could not get a single drop of heated water out of any taps during the afternoon, or the following morning. I got up early at 6:30am because of an important business meeting at 8am, and to my absolute disgust, I left the hot water tap running in my shower for a full 45mins before I built up enough courage to take a freezing cold shower. The water was absolutely freezing, I was beyond shivering, all because I couldn't afford to miss my 8am meeting.
My advice, is do not trust this hotel. My experience was real, and I definitely never intend to return there again.
