Rooms are small!
Despite being a loyal Hyatt fan and a frequent guest, Grand Hyatt Seoul is probably my least favorite Grand Hyatt in Asia.
Yes, the view from Namsan is wonderful. But it is just a bit far from most places you need to go on a business trip.
Next, the rooms are small. The first time I stepped into the room, I thought I was in Japan. The bathroom is tiny.
The last drawback is that, unlike the Shilla or the Westin, guests are not provided with a local mobile phone. This is very inconvenient for people who do not possess a Korean or 3G phone. I do not understand why they can't provide the same level of service as the other top hotels.
Having said that, the hotel does have a wonderful range of restaurants, and the beautiful lobby overlooks the city from the top of Namsan.
