Some of the restaurants & bars they offer is Europian Restaurant "Il Miraggio", Japanese Restaurant "SHISUI", Teppanyaki Grill "YAMAZAKURA", Lounge&Bar "Il Lago",Wedding Bar "Waiting Bar".What I dislike is no pets are allowed, but that understanding.And bathing tax is 150yen per person.But no matter what my favorite is Onsen (natural hot spring)that you can not find no where here in Fayetteville,Nouth Carilona where I am.Actully nowhere in the U.S.A.You should really try it.

Loved this hotel! It is conviniently located by a (switch-back) train station, but is away from all the loud tourist trap. The hotel is old, but classy and makes you feel like you have time-traveled when you step in. The food is also wonderful. Can't wait to go back.

No dislikes. When I arrived in January it was snowing heavily. Have never seen a more fairytell scene. All six days were a dream. Even soaking in the "Dream Pool". The hotel staff was excellent in every way. Food was more than delicious especially the recipe for smothered steak which reminded me of home. I was given a beautiful front room in the "Flower Palace" and felt like a king. I have many time wished I could return for a visit but it looks like I might not make it. I've often told my wife of this most wonderful of all experiences during my year in Japan. Thank you for providing me with this opportunity to once again thank you. C Corbett January 1946

Just spent 3 nights with my husband and 3 children. We shared 2 connecting rooms in the more modern (built in the 60's)part of the hotel. The hotel is very striking and it's that hotel you drive by and say 'oh, I wish we were staying there!' The rooms were priced right for us because they were offering a limited time special to foreigner's for their 127th anniversary. We could only afford breakfast, not dinner, in the dining room and that was just under 9000yen. The Italian restaurant 30 paces up the hill was surprisingly yummy, gourmet on a budget! My kids loved the pool as well. Mostly, I was truly impressed by the service, woodwork throughout and the beautiful grounds.

The hotel is wonderful in the historic value with a ton of photos of VIPs and guest registers that go way back. It was the first hotel I came across with the "passport stamp" (a rubber stamping you collect to show you've been some place in Japan, they're all over the country from monuments to businesses to train stations). I felt the prices were a little steep for what you get but there was a convenience store a short distance away which made for a less expensive dinner. The hotel was definitely peaceful.
Unfortunately, when I arrived to check in they had lost the reservation and acted as if I didn't belong there (I was dressed in jeans and a casual shirt). Once they found the reservation, I still found the friendliness of the staff lacking. I was definitely glad to be spending only one night there.
