The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata

i like this place since its in the middle of the city so commuting to everyplace is quite easy.like the royal ambience of the hotel......cant wait to go back again to enjoy the unforgattable royal experience.......

The Oberoi Grand is a superb establishment.The building is impressive and it is tastefully and richly decorated with genuine and beautiful furniture,as if handpicked with love by a knowledgeable collector.The inner garden with a perfect overflow effect swimming pool is a work of art.The service is superb,the staff is always smiling and helpful.It is one of the cleanest places I have ever been to,and not just standard hotel cleanliness,but the work of a perfectionist.Fragrant oils are burnt in the corridors,flower arrangements or just single orchids in vases,on tables,even in the ashtrays.I had a premium room which was spacious and where everything functioned perfectly: internet connection,air conditioning,etc.The hotel sent a limousine to the airport to pick me up and also to drive me when I left.The spa is a superb place to spend a couple of hours in.The services were professional,charming and quick.Checking out was less than a minute.I warmly reccomend this hotel to those visiting Calcutta.

The feeling about this hotel are quite sure to be described as nearly excellent. The service was very good, but still not all of the stuff was greeting in the morning; the check-out was also with mistakes, in the last moment they have told me that there is a bill pending fromo the water side bar, still I didn't have a chance to use it; the arranged transportation was also very conveniet, but I didn't pay attention to the lagguage, they would definitely forget to put it into the car :)!!! And the last thing I was really suffering from, but could do nothing - the air in the central part of the city is very poluted, I could feel disel fumes all the time.
