Good experience

I stayed here for three nights in December 2006. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is convenient for central Beijing attractions. Keep in mind that Beijing is an enormous city, so you will probably end up taking cabs, which the doorman will hail for you. (I also used the subway to get to Tienanmen square, reducing a 15-minute walk to a 5-minute ride. The subway entrance is right outside the hotel.) The hotel has two "wings," the "A wing," which fronts the street, and the "B wing" at the back. I initially stayed in a B wing room, but I extended my stay by one night and spent the last night in an A wing room. Both were fine, but the A wing room had been recently renovated and looked brand new. I would ask for an A wing room.
