never again !
By ,
I have been to Tunis 7 times in the last 5 years for business and I always end up at the Sheraton Tunis. Each time my company paid the bill. I never really liked the hotel, but it was usable. I was there in Dec 2009 for pleasure. I decided to spend the holidays in Tunis and enjoy the sights, you know, be a tourist for a change. My expereince was horrible and I will never stay here again. The room was quoated at $115.00 a night. Yes it was a bit high, but for a King-sized bed in the 4th floor, I thought it was a good deal. (the 4th floor is the business mens floor with a private salon and business center) The room was right above the kitchen area. It was very noisy! The other people on the floor were loud and obnoxious all week! My room was dirty, the service was poor and when I asked for room service, I was snubbed! I suffered with poor quality service, the restaurant food was awful, the buffet for lunch was an additional $45.00 per person and must have been last weeks left-overs that was left OUT ! I had poor internet, and when I asked for assistance, I was ignored. The lounge is spacious, the piano music was nice, but the drinks were NOT drinkable. When I went to check-out, I was shocked and horrified!! My bill was NOT $115.00 per night as stated...... it was $450.00 PER NIGHT ! For this kind of money, I should have had the KINGS SUITE.... I enjoyed my 5 days of tourism in Tunis and Sidi Bou Said, Dougga and other places. I love Tunsia and will go there again. BUT, I will stay in La Marsa or Lagoulette or Sidi Bou Said, or in a box under a bridge before I stay in the the Sheraton Tunis again.

Good Option
By ,
Overall an average hotel, not great but not terrible either. The restaurant was OK, minus the intestinal illness I ended up with that was likely food borne. Shuttle service to the airport is helpful. Internet connection was plain awful. The rooms were clean and well kept. I would use the hotel again if in the area, as it was as business traveler friendly as could be expected.

Circus hotel
By ,
5 five stars are display just for decoration. The service in this hotel is the worst I never had. Waiters always say YES but never do, if you ask something, I hope you have time to wait for it. Some rooms are noisy because of the air conditionners of his own kitchen!!! I don't know why sheraton is written on this hotel!!! Only one positive point: the restauration and service of buffet restaurant.

Exceptional Service for Tunisia
By ,
We have stayed in three different 5 star hotels in Tunis. The two other international hotels were pathetic and facilitates were old, service was poor for a 5 star and many staff needed to learn some common courtesy manners. The Sheraton however was a real 5 star hotel and the staff were great. The facilities are of a 5 star but not of a 5 star deluxe. I would strongly recommend it if you want to avoid getting ripped of in other so called 5 star hotels that should be rated 3 at the most. The only down side, is the location is not in the heart of the city, so walking is not option but by taking a taxi you be in down town in 8 minutes.

Horrible Experience
By ,
Location is far from the center of city and nicer areas such as Sidi Bou Said. Rooms were filthy - dirt on carpets. Some rooms had alarm clocks, others did not. Water and electricity were shut off early in the morning - made it difficult to get ready for an early morning flight. We weren't sure if this was due to Tunisian standards being different from American standards, but we also stayed @ Sofitel Palm Beach in Djerba, which was immaculate with excellent service and a much nicer breakfast. It'd be better to stay on Avenue France or in Sidi Bou Said.

A GOOD 5 STAR HOTEL IN TUNIS
By ,
Did stay there for 3 nights. Though the hotel is a bit old but the rooms are clean, excellent internet wireless connection with no interruption. Awesome view and friendly staff, though I did not like the buffet breakfast. The car rental AVIS is the worst I have ever experienced, being a frequent traveller.

Clean, friendly & spacious. Most amenities you would expect from a five star hotel and at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was fantastic ! Everything you could think of available.
