La Mamounia is located in the heart of Marrakech. Elite members of society such as Hillary Clinton and Winston Churchill have stayed here; in fact, one of the suites is devoted to the latter, who was a loyal guest. The surrounding area is stunning with its 17-hectar gardens dating from the 18th century at your feet and the Atlas Mountains in the distance. The hotel incorporates Moroccan architectural features and art-deco style, and is surrounded by 12th-century ramparts. It features three villas, and some of its 57 suites have unique themes and names like "19ème Siècle," "Palmeraie" and "Mamounia 1930." Aprt from the usual amenities, like room service and other intangibles, the hotel also offers a gymnasium, a golf course, tennis courts and a casino! Pamper yourself at the spa, enjoy a meal at one of the five restaurants, have a drink at one of the four bars (including the Bar du Soleil ), or shop at the gift stores (including Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton).
