Golf Hotel Abidjan, Abidjan

The staff at the reception could be warmer and more welcoming with their clients. The rooms are poorly furnished. The beds do not have proper linen, even revealing torn mattresses in some cases. The towels are clearly worn out, and toilets sometimes broken. The hallways are gloomy and smell cigarettes which can be unpleasant for non-smokers. Outside however, it is quite pleasant to take a walk on the clean sandy beaches of the lagoon which borders the hotel.

A very classy upper class hotel in Abidjan. Despite being a bit removed from the city proper and the airport, it nonetheless offers great access to certain attractions that Abidjan offers. In a great neighborhood. Excellent for either family or incredibly superb for business stays. Service is professional and quick. Most know English fluently. One doesn't ever have to leave the hotel as the restaurant in the hotel as well as the quick order grill in the lobby are both very good and reasonably priced for hotel restaurants. Probably with the possible exception of the Hotel Ivoire the absolute best place to stay in Abidjan.

I was working on the American Embassy across the street on the other side of the golf course durning 2003. We were forced to live in the Golf hotel and the people working the hotel tried to cheat use everytime they could on any bills and it was given the ok by Management. The rooms were the same temperature as outside cause they would make sure the AC was not working. If you think I have kidding just stay for a week with them. They had their stars pulled do to their bad service... Run from this Hotel

Avoid if you can NO SERVICE, NO QUALITY, NO HOSPITALITY
