Very nice hotel

With the caveat that I haven't been to this hotel since 2000 (when it was relatively brand new), the Novatel is an excellent value. The price was under $100 per night. (I don't know how much the rooms cost today.) The hotel is a nice modern hotel (with important amenities like A/C, which is critical in West Africa) and resemble other Novatels like the one in NYC, for example. I would return without hesitation, but do remember the warning at the top of this review about not having visited in almost 6 years.
