We are returning
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/10
Our stay there was delightful. Clean spacious rooms and bathrooms, excellent buffet dining. The breads are from heaven. Our room had a wonderful view of the city. We have seen our view of the ongoing excavations there on TV since we were there. Close to area attractions. Has nice gift shops in the lobby. I have read some of the very negative reviews and find them almost laughably unbelievable. Probably planted there by competitors.

Unforgettable, Unique Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/09
The Crowne Plaza Jerusalem may not be the King David Hotel, but as international hotels, this one is fantastic, it's ultimate highlight being the peaceful, colorful view of the city of Jerusalem. I wouldn't live there, but the stay was pleasant. Cleanliness isn't entirely thrown to the wind, but it could use improvement, which is probably why they are renovating it, and overall cleanliness is fairly good as far as oversees amenities go. The bathrooms are different than standard western restrooms, but are clean and very functional, as well as pretty. If you are staying in Jerusalem, especially as a second-time visitor, and are looking for something unique, I suggest this hotel. Jerusalem in itself is a beautiful place; this hotel, bar none, has the most incredible view of a city I've ever seen in my life from a hotel balcony and is a jem in the Jewel City , Jerusalem. Shell out the 200 bucks just for the view, and make sure you get it. You won't be dissappointed.

A disappointing stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/09
I have led 29 tours to Israel and stayed in many of the hotels. The most disappointing of them is the Crowne Plaza in Jerusalem. This is, at best, a 3 star hotel. Our people reported to me air conditioning systems that were inadequate, toilets that did not function properly, TV sets that were old with faded pictures, carpets in desperate need of cleaning - none of which I have experienced in other similarly-ranked hotels. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will I ever use it again in subsequent tours to Jerusalem.

wish we were there now
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/06
eveything we love it there. Feels like home to us , would not stay anywhere else. The quality and variety of food was the best. Rooms are very clean. I like the little room where you can iron your clothes. Lobby area is spotless. Great location for Feast of Tabernacles. Polite and helpful staff.

Good mid-level choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/29/05
Have just returned from 3 days in Jerusalem where we stayed at the Crowne Plaza (formerly Holiday Inn). The hotel is a 5 minute cab journey (3) from the Old City so the location is ok, if not prime. We stayed in a superior room which was ok - cosy but clean, and with a nice bathroom. Hotel facilities good enough - food was ok, shabbat dinner a bit mad (too many people, too much noise!), swimming pool (retractable roof) was ok... You can see where i'm going with this. At $180 per room per night, I think the Crowne Plaza was a good mid-priced option, certainly better located that the Regency (miles outa town), and the Novatel (edge of East Jerusalem). For a little bit more, go for the Sheraton if you can, but if you're price sensitive, the CP will do just fine...

lovely experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/04
We had a very enjoyable stay at one of the honeymoon suites at the Crowne Plaza - The rooms were clean, attractive and spacious, the staff were accomodating and friendly, the food was tasty and the view was absolutely incredible . Recommended!

service, comfort and luxury?CROWNE PLAZA JERUSALEM
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/04
that was not my case. I thought i would find that. Actually, the only service they got to offer me and my friend was cleaning up me, literally, by robbering everything!yep. No security cameras working. After all these, they treated us really badly, were very unkind, lack of respect, is not a good enough expression!. 5 days after this, they cleaned up another room, in less than 15 minutes!!!, yea! Sure. Its a nice hotel, though nothing special, service really bad, but really bad!, its location is perfect, food taste good except for some cocroaches founded at restaurant. Yes, its close to the city center in case you have to run to buy new clothing, and the view is great, when you have no money to get out of there, and you are far away from home, kind of desperate, at least you can go to the top floor to get the best pic of the city!. its up to you. I suggest sleeping in a youth hostel can turn out to be a better experience!trust me!.
