Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola au Lac, Lugano

This hotel is situated in the picturesque town of Lugano, in the Ticino region of Swizterland. We had a room overlooking the lake (I think most do by default) and a comfy balcony where we spent a good deal of time relaxing. Our room was larger than most typical European rooms, with a comfortable sitting area and a large bathroom. We also had a walk-in closet which made storing our luggage very convenient. The best part of the hotel are the grounds- absolutely gorgeous in every way. I could have spent hours lounging under the trees and watching the activity on the lake. The food in the main restaurant was pricey, but excellent.The hotel is a luxury hotel, so you get what you pay for, but we'd go back to Lugano and stay at this hotel in a heartbeat!
