The Colon Hotel offers individually decorated rooms and suites facing the Cathedral of Barcelona. While the hotel's room interiors are standard, its guest list is not. The Colon has been a crash pad for such formidable figures as Ernest Hemingway, Jean Paul Sartre, and Sofia Loren. With the hotel's Gothic Quarter location, guests will be able to reach the famous Plaza Catalunya, Port of Barcelona, and La Rambla in approximately five minutes' walk. La Carabela restaurant is a convenient, casually elegant destination for Mediterranean specialties. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Room service is available. To suit guests' needs, the hotel offers two meeting rooms, event support services, laundry valet, and a concierge. El Prat International airport is approximately 20 minutes away by car. There are 145 rooms on six floors. Single, Double, and Suite guestrooms are available.
