Bonvecchiati Hotel, Venice

The Bonvecchiati is a very old venetian palace located in the heart of historic Venice between Saint Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. The famous Basilica and many important museums and art galleries are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel owner is a collector of contemporary paintings, many of which are displayed throughout the property. On the mezzanine level is the restaurant with terrace dining. This appealing, older hotel is from the 1800's and has 87 rooms decorated in classical Italian period furnishings. Each room has air-conditioning, dataport, hairdryer, minibar, IDD telephone, and cable television.Please note Venice City tax is not included in the room rates. Tax costs 1 EUR per hotel star rating, per person, per night, and must be paid to the hotel the tourist tax is payable only for the first 5 nights of stay. Tax will not apply to children under age 10. A 50pct discount is applied to the tax for children 10 to 16 years old and also applied during periods other than high season. A 40pct discount is applicable for properties located on the mainland, such as Venice Mestre. A 30pct discount is applicable for properties located in the islands such as Venice Lido, or San Clemente.
