We were so lucky!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/21/08
We were supposed to stay at another hotel, but being the end of the season were given the Bristol Hotel. What a delight. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant manager and waiters deserve a special mention for their friendliness and ability to give us a very full early breakfast on our way home. The room was wonderful with a view and balcony. Very clean and spacious. Nice bathroom and everyone we met was delighted at their luck in staying at this very special hotel. Now looking to see if we can book here ourselves this year. Go - you will love it. B & M Fridh, England.

We're back this August !!
We came to Sorrento in August 2006 for our Son's wedding. We stayed at the Bristol, with our 2 sons, and their partners. We were treated like Royalty throughout our stay. Our Son and his Fiancee were treated so special by all the staff on the lead-up to their wedding, and Champagne was placed in Reception for them on their wedding morning. We could not fault anything. A special mention must go to the Restaurant Manager, for his help in teaching us some very useful Italian. Our rooms had beautiful Bay views, and were clean and well maintained. The pool terrace and bar are so relaxing. The Amalfi drive is a must-do. See Positano in all it's glory. Speak to the locals, TELL THEM what a beautiful place Sorrento is.They will love you for it.Don't just read this.....GO !!!

One of the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/06
I have given this a lot of stars, which I do not usually do. It isnt the best hotel in the world itself, but put it where it is ....and WOW ! We arrived with our near 2 year old son....and that should be a warning in itself. But we were given a room on the 2nd floor. It was wide with a sitting room, a full shower room and WIDE WIDE WIDE sliding windows, that you could sit up on the sofa and look out down the whole bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius in the distance. Now we have travelled EVERYWHERE (well nearly) with and without children, and when a 2 year old is looked after, can sit with you in the dining room, and your and your wife can enjoy lovely wine, in a great environment NOT UNREAL then this must be great.

Beautiful hotel and location
By Sara, 5/27/06
The room in this hotel was really lovely and we had a wonderful view of the bay and the town. Our room had a large sitting room that could be closed off from the bedroom a rare find in Europe for a bargain traveller. (Actually, this hotel was our big "blow out" expense in southern Italy, but at about $130 per night with breakfast included, it was quite luxurious compared to what you'd find in the US for a similar rate.) There's a lovely lemon garden up the hill if you'd like to take a little walk. We were visiting in January, so the pool wasn't open, but it looked like they had quite the set-up. My only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer.
