A Traditional European Gem!

Before getting to Munich, we spent 5 mights in a Hilton elsewhere in Germany. That hotel, which was chosen by my workplace, was a real disappointment -- it was as un-European as you can get. THEN we got to the Eden-Hotel-Wolff. It is lovely, absolutely 100% European (even using the old-fashioned keys on heavy keychains!). The staff was superb - we asked for extra pillows and they appeared almost right away; we accidentally changed the channel in the middle of a pay movie and someone came to fix it for us right away; I asked about buying a bathmat and the next time I passed the front desk the concierge stopped me to tell me the price. The location is great -- literally across the street from the train station, in a fine area (not at all seedy), and about a three-block walk from the start of the walking area. The rooms are really spacious, the featherbeds were very cozy, the windows open to let the air in; breakfast, which was included, had a great variety of food. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I plan on recommending it to my workplace as a hotel-of-choice for visitors to Munich. It's simply a wonderful hotel.
