We had a great time!!!!!
By Charle, 10/13/09
My husband visited Guatemala for the first time. He and I enjoyed to stay in this hotel everything was great, we had a room with a nice view of the volcanos and a nice garden in the back. The employees are so polite and happy people with a great service. I recommend this hotel if you want to visit Panajachel or Antigua Guatemala. In Antigua I stayed in Hotel Santo Domingo. I Prefer La Posada De Don Rodrigo is great besides is much cheaper. We cant wait to go back next year.

Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/06
I really enjoyed staying at Don Rodrigo. I was with a missionary group and we had 15 rooms rented. Each one was different and had character. Though the rooms were a little spase by US standards, the hotel itself and all the courtyards were beautiful. I loved the vendors and maricachi each day.

Wonderful Hotel
By Hannah, 8/14/10
This place is beautiful! We came to Guatemala on a mission trip and stayed here one night. It had wonderful views of all three volcanoes. The restaurant was amazing. Great food for a good price. The terrace is so nice in the morning. Only thing I didnt like was our room because it was right upstairs from the kitchen so it was loud early. Either way I hope to go back and stay again.

Would love to come back again
By CharlotteP, 12/31/09
I was in Antiqua during November and although I did not stay at this establishment I have 2 meals there (which were delicous) and really enjoyed the night with the Marachi band and entertainment of the Mask dancers. What a great evening....I'm telling everyone I see to go there.

I loved this place. We will return! nice location, super atmosphere... The views were spectacular. The hotel had a lot of charm. It was great to have a nice restaurant on site. We danced with the marimbas!

Like stepping back into a beautiful time of gardens, excellent food, great staff! Gracious employees at every turn. We're definitely using this hotel each time we visit Antigua.

Ten Star Restaurant & Hotel
The presentation of the restaurant tables have typical clean table covers and utencils, the food is cook and served in a timely manner, garden view has a water fountain and flowers of various colors and shapes, surrounded by wide long corridors of tile floors, the rooms are big and clean, the bed are covered with a typical women made wool bed covers, the sheets and bathroom towels and soaps are changed every day, and the music is played life by musicians with a Marimba

Amazing
By Susan, 2/14/12
One word. Amazing. The atmosphere, the employees, the food, the rooms, the view, the town. All amazing. My only dislike is that we stayed three days. I wish we would have stayed three months.

Don't do it!
By kristid, 7/29/07
This hotel is beautiful, and has a great location. But it is way too expensive for what you get. They do not offer free purified water in the lobby like most hotels, no breakfast, no free internet. We sat down at a table in the resturant to have drinks and watch a short show, and the waitress became irritated that we did not order more (we are vegetarian, and there is nothing for us on the menu) We then ordered some soup she told us was vegetarian, but had huge pieces of bacon in it. We payed a lot of money for it and left. We were put in a beautiful room.... right above the kitchen. We were jolted awake at 6:45am by very loud banging and chatter from the staff, then the other guests at breakfast. We were then moved to a mediocre room with a flood light that shined directly in all night. No where near worth it!!!
