Negril Tree House Resort, Negril

I am in love with this resort! I had a great time soaking up sun rays on hte beach and enjoying the sweet sound of the "Singing Chef" and grounds workers! I am not a breakfast person but I found myself rising every morning anticipating the 8am breakfast buffet full of local dishes and fresh fruits. I was impressed with the friendly front desk staff and the host of helpful workers. Even Gail herself the Owner was around on the grounds always smiling and chatting with guests. This is my new spot for R&R. I am now a loyal Negril Treehouse Resort Fan!

I took my mom to Negril Jamaica for a fun daughter-mother trip. We sbooked a deal through Living Social that included a stay at the Negril Tree House and airport transfer. The staff was wonderful; from the individual who picked us up from the airport, the front desk staff, the bar staff, and the shuttle service, everyone was great. The hotel was exactly as described. It is a family run, bed and breakfast type hotel, so you have all of your basic amenities. They have spa services and a great restaurant with some great cooks! The hotel is right on the beach and the beaches of Negril are amazing! I have been to some amazing places with great beaches and this is one of my top 3! The only dislike I had during this trip were the small bugs in the room. They were very small and seemed harmless, but they were everywhere. Once I asked the hotel to clean the room and change the sheets, I didn't see too many of them in the room, The A/C unit was a little weak and it was hot during our stay. It seemed to work sometime, but not all the time. One other note: there is an excursion that is horse back riding. We booked it at the hotel and although it was completely legit, the ride was not what I expected. The planatation grounds that we rode through were quite scary (felt like anyone could come out of the bushes at any time) and the town we rode through was basically the local town that was quite depressing and somewhat scary. I would not recommend this to anyone!

my husband and i spent our 6yr anniversary in jamaica and i feel we picked the best place for it. the negril tree house feed you so well for breakfast, you save a lot of $, cause you stay full til dinner, lol... it was a very relaxing getaway, it was so relaxing i was almost bored the last day of our stay, lol... but there is a lot to do around the resort like horse back-riding, glass bottom boat, parasailing, jet ski and ski boats.... jus beware of the sting rays, i almost stepped on one. check out ricks cafe and the jungle night club, as well, before you go back home. we had a ball at both!!! the massage at the tree house was the best i ever had, they really take there time.

we had a blast me and 4 of my friends, we wanted to experience jamaica with the locals and we did 10 days and 9 nights were definitely not enought so im going back next year. Ms. Cynthia was the best as well as Leon, Tre, Damion, Allan, Keshia and many others. they are my new family and i miss them so cant wait next time i have at least 20 people going back home with me.

I stayed at the Negril Tree House Resort the week of April 26th, 2008. What a piece of paradise! The staff always greeted the guests with a smile. The buffet breakfast is a great place to mingle with different people from all over the world. The beach is so perfect, the water is beautiful and warm under the hot sun. The room was in a quiet section of the resort; high in the trees with air conditioning and tons of privacy. Cleanliness was tops. The location was perfect; easy to access. The front desk calls for taxis if needed by its guests. Plenty of area shops within walking distance. I encourage families, lovers and good friends to spend some time at the Negril Tree House!

If you’re looking to chill on the “beach” without all of the touristy attractions that you don’t have to travel to enjoy (i.e. nightclubs, movie theaters, etc.) book your stay in Negril at the Negril Treehouse! This hotel is more individual or “couple” friendly. I didn’t see many activities on the grounds for children other than the pool. The Treehouse sits smack dab in the middle of many other things to do so the kids won’t ever get bored. How do I start giving praises to the Negril Treehouse? Let’s start with our driver, Clive, whose quiet demeanor made me feel at home when he picked us up from the airport. Upon my arrival at the hotel I had the pleasure of meeting the hotel’s owner, Mr. Jackson, which was a VERY nice touch. After that, a little cutie named Shane escort my bags to my room. Shane, I’ll sing for you anytime darling. I had the pleasure of staying in Room #3 which sits in the garden steps away from the beach. The only problem I had with the room was the tiny space where the drapes don’t provide any coverage. If someone were standing on the 2nd floor, they could see right into a portion of my room. Can we get some sort of material to cover that spot before I return next year? And yes, quoting Schwarzenegger, “I’LL BE BAK!” As one reviewer stated, I did notice that there was a shortage of beach towels. However, I came prepared for the beach with two beach towels. . . I’d suggest any readers do the same to combat this problem. Eric in the restaurant/bar was very attentive! I didn’t have to lift a finger during his shift. Bartender Patrick was very accommodating also. Monica’s hands . . . Man oh man! My body was like a noodle after my one-hour massage! The breakfast buffet included in the price of the room was good. Don’t wait until 10:30 a.m. to go to breakfast, though . . . once it’s over, it’s over. I had never had Calaloo but found it to be quite tasty. Armed with tons of U.S. $20 bills, I’d suggest that you travel with plenty of U.S. $1 bills for tipping. Every time I needed to tip, I had to find change. If you’re hungry during the day, walk a couple steps to the pasty stand for beef/veggie/chicken curry pasties or enjoy grilled chicken, etc. cooked in the hotel’s bar area. The gift shop on the premises is a little pricey compared to bargaining at the “markets.” I can’t swim, but enjoyed the warm waters and walking in the water next to the sting ray who lives in the area. Prior to my stay at the Treehouse, after traveling trials and errors, I found that I can only tolerate hotel living for 4 to 5 days and booked my stay at the Treehouse for that length of time. I was quite upset when it was time to go as I could’ve used a couple more days in paradise. Next year, I will book at least 7 days. Until then . . . I Love the Treehouse, Rose :-)

a place like this makes all dreams come true!!! no stress, fun if you want, everything right next to ya! mon, this place is best evvvvver!!!

My first visit and intend to go back next year! The water is as blue and clear as can be and feels like bath water--absolutely loved it very relaxing and casual--spent 98% of our time in swimsuits and barefeet!The sunsets are gorgeous! Highly recommend going to Ricks Cafe'for dinner,sunsets and to watch the cliff divers (its awesome also) Definetly do YS Falls (another awesome place),and the Black River Boat Cruise (very interesting).Lovers Leap (awesome view with restaraunt) up in the foothills is really kewl too.Hated to leave--went for 9 days and it wasnt enough! The complimentary breakfast every morning is also awesome--take advantage of it.We stayed in Suite C--25-30 feet from the oceans edge!And the tiki bar is right at the oceans edge also.Everyone was very friendly.Look or ask for Trevor Waldron--he was our driver and knows Jamaica VERY well and is the one who took us to Lovers Leap in the foothills of Jamaica.Treehouse is nothing posh very casual and relaxing,but really nice--(if u r looking for posh and dress up all the time--this place wont suit you)--we are a more casual couple and didnt want to be dressed up--wanted to be relaxed,comfortable and enjoy one another and our time there.Regardless we highly recommend it--my partner has been there 3 times.The beach is raked every morning and our Suite was cleaned everyday with fresh bedsheets every morning.What more could a person ask for????

I made plans to visit friends for two weeks, and as it turned out, they had to be away during first week, and I was alone, on my first trip to Jamaica. I stayed at the TREEHOUSE, and I felt so comfortable, and I met such nice people, it wasn't like I was first timer at all..The cozy, family like atmosphere allowed me to relax and the staff made me feel so welcome, that I was actually glad that I had this week alone.,..My room (12) was great, I loved the porch swings, the flowers, the activity, the location and of course, the beach. I would never stay at an all inclusive, as that's not my style. If you want a friendly, clean property, with good food and the feeling of safety and comfort, then stay here with the Jacksons..

I was pampered . I did not feel like I was alone I felt like I was among family. I want to go back and I will, it will be my home away from home. Others told me what a good time they had stay here - I wanted to experience it for myself and their raves about the place lived up to my expectations and some. As I said I will be back - sooner then later. Loved the place. A happy Bermudian
