Couples Tower Isle, Ocho Rios

DISLIKE: What is advertised was booked on our arrival to the hotel - Catamaran Cruise was compeltely booked-was on waiting list-never got to take advantage of this item included in our package. *Ran out of premium booze daily that was included and advertised *No Music around resort - pool area - BORING! *The pool water is Freezing! *Piano Bar smelled musky *Wait a long time at bar to get waited on-staff more bartenders!! 2 hour Bus ride from air port. LIKES: Andrea the Team Leader is AWESOME! The Veggie Bar is WONDERFUL! Must try this! Best smoothies ever! Eight Rivers and Bayside reservations required-good food/service. The Patio buffet/Grill also had good food! Staff friendly. Dunns River Falls-must do!

My husband and I recently came back from our honeymoon in Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica and we both highly recommend it! I was so apprehensive about going and very nervous about what we would find once we got there. I booked my trip through bookit so I wasn't sure if it would be all it promised and it definitely delivered everything plus more! The fact that it's all-inclusive is so wonderful, and don't worry...the food is really great! You can eat as much as you want as often as you want! The liquor is premium but if you like beer, hopefully you really like Red Stripe or Red Stripe Light is all they had. But they have so many mixed drinks to choose from if you're not usually a liquor type...you will be after this trip =) I just want to put your worries to rest if you've been apprehensive about booking with this resort. I say only good things because that is all we experienced while we were there. The facilities were always clean and always being cleaned and the room was beautiful with a breathtaking view (we were in a superior ocean view front room)...do not get the garden view room because we know a couple that stayed there and the parrots were very loud at night. The staff was very nice, and even nicer when you tip them (although it is not required because it is all inclusive). I loved that the resort was far away from the airport that we did not hear any airplanes at all (which I read was a problem at some resorts too close to Montego Bay) and it also gave us a chance to take the bus trip through Jamaica so that we could visit without having to be out in the open. The only disappointment I have about the entire trip was that we shouldn't have gone during the winter. We were not aware that the weather would not be optimal. It was very windy and the lack of sun made it a little too cool to be on the beach all day but that was not the resort's fault). Still, the resort had plenty for us to do and there is always a game room with a pool table (not full-size though) and a ping-pong table as well as other board games. There are 2 large pools, one of which has a swim-up bar...and 4 jacuzzi which were my personal favorite. If you took a short boat ride to the nude island (which was actually quite fun) there is another swim-up bar there and they have food for lunch too. But you do not have to go to the nude island if that makes you uncomfortable and you cannot see anyone nude from the resort. Because it was our honeymoon they sent a free bottle of champagne to our bedroom and we each received a 30 minute massage too. We got our entire trip for an amazing deal and we would do it all over again!! Also, all the couples at the resort were so nice and although we hadn't come to make friends, we left with many. Hope this review helped if you're indecisive. I don't usually write reviews but I want to help couples who aren't sure where to go since I had such a difficult time choosing myself and other reviews helped me make my decision. So I hope this helped make yours =)

CTI was everything I expected and more.. I loved the service, the food quality and all the included activities. The staff will remember your name every time they see you and will make your stay like you are part of the family. I will be returning to couples this October.

We loved everything! It was a dream vacation and the best destination for our wedding! The staff was just as nice as the environment! My new wife and I have NO complaints! Lots to do and everything is complimentary!

Had the time of my life, beautiful people, excellent service all around....Dillon - aka (popcorn) you are the best bartender!! Met some great people from all over the world.....excellent food and brew......activities....clean room....wonderful room service...and the safe was big enough to lock our computer in and just enjoy ourselves...Thanks again and see you soon!!

The biggest thing that I liked about CTI was the staff. Everyone is VERY friendly. You get to know them personally by the end of the trip you really consider them your friends. Damien is the best bartender that we have ever had. The resort is absolutely beautiful. When you are standing in the lobby, you look out the windows to see the water and the island and it all looks perfect. The food is great. One of the best meals that we ever had was at Eight Rivers. Bayside has some amazing asian inspired dishes. My wife and I got a couples massage and it was incrdible. Another thing that we loved was the friendships among other couples there. We are really good friends with some of the people that we've met down there and are traveling to see them this year. We went there in '09 and met some really great people and we all returned to see each other at CTI in '10! If you're looking to get away on vacation, YOU MUST GO TO COUPLES TOWER ISLE!!!

i totally loved it pulse my tour guide was jus great .if you want to have an amazing time in jamaica as much as i did then you need a tour guide like the one i had and he's oscar Cameron he's wonderful. i'll be back in ja april and i just can't wait

Tamara is telling a lie...her story is clearly made up..Why would they change so often..are you that bad lucked..Stop trying to spread rumours and talk the truth This is a very awesome place.I totally loved it..great service..never saw any locals selling drugs..nor kids running around..i Think she has the wrong place..she do not remember where they went..lol

I don't know who this Tamara is, but she is dead wrong. I have been to Couples SEVERAL times and the pools are not closed, the rooms are right on for the money, the service is the best, reservations are made on the first day for everything and Kids are not allowed. So therefore children aren't there. Maybe she was speaking about another resort, but it's not Couples Ocho Rios.

This hotel is an excellent value for those wanting an all inclusive vacation. We stayed for a week and had an oceanview room, which was worth the extra money. The rooms are not super fancy, but are comfortable. The staff was absolutely willing to help in any way. There was lots of stuff to do. We went to Dunns River Falls, which was fabulous. We went snorkeling, which was pretty good, but not as good as in Hawaii! We did the glassbottom boat, but did not see much in the bottom of the boat. The views of the island were good though. The catamaran cruise was nice, but not great since everyone was totally drunk. Not much fun for a pregnant woman! We took a kayak around the ocean and hung out at the beach most days. The shopping trips were not worth it. The Jamaicans really just want to scam you. The restaurants and food at the resort was pretty good. The beach restaurant was probably the best bet for lunch if you aren't much of a salad or fish person. The buffet, which is open most every day for all meals was generally pretty good. My husband doesn't love fish, so we usually ate at the beach restaurant for lunch. All of the specialty restaurants were fabulous for dinner. I wasn't impressed with the beach party's food. We did get a couple's massage, which was really not as good as you might get at other resorts! Overall the only bad part of the trip was the long van ride to the hotel. Since the roads are not very good, it took us at least 1 1/2 hours to get to the hotel!
