Great Place To Stay!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/10
Spent five wonderful days at Blue Harbour Hotel! Nice, clean rooms, wonderful hospitality and excellent restaurant service. Rooftop dining was awesome - would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Nice people
By tenn. titan, 5/12/08
This hotel may no be the king or the crop but it is a nice place to stay and the people who work there are just awesome. If you need to know how to find something to eat or someplace just ask the people at the front desk or the people who work in the restaurant. If you need a taxi to get you aroung town someone will get that for you also and will tell the taxi driver to stay with as you shop.

Inexpensive place to sleep
By MaineReview, 1/2/08
ok...not a resort by any means..people were awsome..always there to help with anything...but the pool didnt have a running filter..we didnt go near it.. kinda nasty....but we went to party and have fun...so for the money it was great just to shower and sleep....we were gone most of the time so it was a great value. The hill it sets on was ok...it meant taking a cab everytime we went out....but it was quiet at night. No restaurant in sight, and if your looking to lose a few pounds...lol you will because there is not much to eat once you get back to the hotel...ya get what you pay for.......for all purposes of our trip the hotel was not the Ritz Carlton by a long shot..lol. but it was inexpensive.....think camping...lol

Disgust-A-Mundo!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/07
Dump! Dump! Dump! I don't know where those other writers stayed but Blue Harbour Hotel is a 0.5 star MAX! Dirty, stained mismated furniture -exptremely poor accommodations. The only accuracy in the positive reviews was about the staff. They are tops. I feel sorry for them and the poor product they have to sell/ defend. Think "flea bag" "flop house" "yard-sale-esque" Boiled eggs, white bread (not toasted) and juice = Blue Harbour's idea of "Continental Breakfast." PLEEEZE stay somewhere else!!!!

A lovely small hotel!
By Claire, 9/19/06
When my husband and I visited Jamaica for the first time together, we stayed at the Blue Harbour Hotel. Since then, we have returned many times to the island, always managing to spend at least a portion of our time at the Blue Harbour. Why? Because it is one of the few remaining hotels that actually give you a taste of the people, the island and it's culture. The owners and staff are courteous, kind and helpful. Yes, it is a bit away from the beach, but the rooftop view of Montego Bay is a photographers' dream! When I travel, I hate to be in "Americanized" hotels. I want to experience the culture and the people. The Blue Harbour fits that bill perfectly. Visit this hotel with confidence, it is lovely, quaint and very friendly. Just remember a rule of thumb when booking reservations......."if you book cheap, you get cheap" and that's true for all of the hotels on the island...................

Bad joke
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/06
This place was horrible, at the very least.False advertisement at its finest. To begin with, this place sets on a hill.A very big hillside. It is not on the beach, but the beach is visible from the top. The parking lot held 4 cars. The dining room featured in the pics is lovely, and not part of this hotel. We never did see a pool, but in all fairness, we checked out after seeing the room. A/C? Kitchenette? Balcony? On site security? PLEASE! Our television didn't even work. Although we left immediately(within 30 minutes) to find another place to stay, we were charged for the full 3 days.(over $250) When we disputed the charge on our credit card, the hotel responded with a letter of false statements, which were easily verifiable. We ended up at the Doctors Cave.A MUCH MUCH nicer hotel, who actually have what they advertised. To all reading this review, avoid the place like the plague.

Will be back!!!
By DenaW, 2/26/06
This place reminded me of staying at a relative's house. The hospitality was very nice... The room was nice with AC. If your looking for a place to crash (as we did everymorning at 4:30am!) without spending tons of money, then this is the right place. I will be happy to come back. I would also recommend do not rent a car... the taxi's are a much better idea.

HORRIBLE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/06
This is the worst hotel we have stayed in our entire life. The hotel website lied about the amenities e.g air conditioned! (big lie). The outdoor pool was very filthy and there was no refrigerator in the room. As a matter of fact, it was so bad that we checked out the same day and found a better hotel (The wexford). On our way back to the U.S. we met another couple at the airport who complained that they had a terrible experience because they were robbed at the top of the hill on their way back from the strip. To add insult to the injury, the hotel charged us $194.00 ($97/day for 2 days)for early check out penalty. Stay away from this hotel
