Description

Treasure Island rooms come nicely appointed with the following features armoire and television with digital cable, desk, dining table and chairs, kitchenette with cook-top, microwave and refrigerator, private decks. Our rooms come in a variety of bed configurations including queen plus daybed, king, 2 queens and 2 doubles. Originally constructed in the 1980s, this 280 room resort was ravaged by hurricane Ivan in 2004 and rescued from an otherwise uncertain future in 2006 by developers. The majority of our units are reserved for extended-stay, corporate guests. However, we have made 50 rooms available for short-stays. Once you are the guest of an apartment community rather than a traditional short-stay resort, you will enjoy genuine, casual hospitality not to mention the best per-night rates on island. After all, you have come to experience our beautiful island-not a hotel. Spoil YOURSELF in our beautiful waters, incredible restaurants and fun nightlife. Your well-appointed TI guest room will be waiting for you when you return.

COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE
By ,
Dear Traveler, I stayed in Treasure Island Resort for 2 weeks (not the condos), and saw cockroaches running in my room, the bar, the corridors, the lift and even the back of the chinese restaurant, Changs, which luckily I did not eat in. I complained to the receptionist and the manager who just said they were a part of living on an island. I told them coachroaches could cause salmonella and carry parasites and still nothing was done. You have been warned - coachroaches and bad service!! DF

It has been several years since I stayed at Treasure Island, but I had the best time!
By ,
The service was really great and the staff very friendly. The rooms were clean, big, and had a fridge. I am returning to Grand Cayman in July 06, but will be doing so by cruise ship. I loved the island and would recomend this hotel and Grand Cayman as a great place to vacation!

Don't confuse this with the condominium . . .
By ,
The condo is located behind this hotel and it's considered more decent and cleaner than the hotel. For the price, the hotel is good for people who don't care about looks so much or for those who's gone most of the time. Shower and air conditioner works. The hotel itself could use some improvements/upgrade, such as the pathways. The hotel's pool isn't maintained/cleaned often, but you can use the condo's (the one with the swim-up bar). I find the housekeepers arguing too much, either in the hallway or while cleaning. But they're nice to guests (I think). Don't stay on the 1st floor because I notice it's the first one to get flooded. The bed is a bit hard for the back, not sure if the sheets are washed daily, towels are clean 'cause I could smell the bleach, their pillows are not good for the neck. Overall, you get what you pay for.

awesome!!!
By ,
I really like how many pools there are and how close we were to all of the best attractions. There is a really good fitness center that is available to everyone. After your workout you can go to the spa and relax for as long as you want. COming here does cost a lot but it's worth it!

Great deal!
By ,
We stayed at this resort at the end of April. My husband works for the airlines and they offer a 50% discount for airline employees, which was a bonus. The place was great for the low price of $75/night. They had pools everywhere. The swim-up bar was great, but it did have a 20 something crowd. Lots of workers from the Ritz construction. Frenchy was the taxi driver that hangs out there and he will drive you anywhere for $5 more. I think our total bill was $40 AMERICAN and we went to the Turtle Farm, Hell & he waited patiently for us.

The floors are all tile even in the room, so watch you step....VERY slippery.

Don't forget your snorkeling gear, the reef is right in front of the resort...lots of free snokeling. If you like to drink beer or liquor...bring as much as you can into the country....VERY expensive. Don't forget to try Torguga Tim's for breakfast and lunch...it is awesome. The hotel restaurants are good, but the lobby bar had some very bad raspberry margaritas....bad berries. It also had a couple of bad beers. The swim up bar had no problems...except we drank too much. The Royal Palm was down the street and had some awesome dancing. Gotta try that at night.

We had way too much fun. Michele, Kara, Mike and Kyle.
