Valentine's Resort, Dunmore Town

Harbour Island is such a beautiful place. When we arrived to the resort, there was an at-home feel that I enjoyed. The location is extremely safe and I felt very comfortable with my kids playing by the pool and beach. We went snorkeling and got our trip discounted because we were staying at Valentines resort. My family had a great time and we recommend this hotel to our friends. I've found that if you want a more relaxed vacation, Harbour Island is the best place to go in the Bahamas for it.

I was so sad to leave after spending 6 days there. (They offer you a night free if you stay for 6!) My husband and I had a phenomonal time. The location was amazing. Your hotel room, which its more like your own condo, was right on the beach and the marina had some of the best boats I've ever seen. We were so happy with the price for everything we got. It was a great value and we are going back again this summer!

The only thing I didn't like about this place was no room service and the wine list was weak but I was told that they are working on both for the future. The suites are fantastic, super clean and modern. only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was okay. will definitely go back.

loud rooster in early morning .beds are very comfy .large bath . nice hardwood floors . kitchen and dining table allow for meals .we had fresh lobster. washerdryer was nice for our boater friends.it is more like a one bedroom condo.

The location of this place is perfect, it is on the harbour side of the island and has a large marina. I came there with friends of mine, our room was dull looking and hardly cleaned, they advertised room service but once we called for room service we were asked to come and pick it up!?! What!?! They also advertise on their website about a kids program which we thought would have been very nice to have but that service was also not available!?! We had reserved a Dive package with them, once got to confirm our snorkeling trip,that to was not confirmed, as a matter of fact I think somewhere the wires aren't crossed. Then we went the next day for lunch, we knew that lunch didn't start until noon, but thought we could order any how, the waitress told us that it was too early for lunch and we had to come back. Well we left! I will never again want to stay at this hotel again even if they'd give it to me free.AWEFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

Valentine's Marina is possibly the WORST managed marina I have encountered in 12 years of continuous cruising in the Bahamas. The girls that answer the phones have no clue as to availability of slips for dockage and the so called dockmaster Marcus is never around. A lot of money was spent on the new Valentine's and it is amazing to encounter how inept is the operational side. When you ATTEMPT to ask MARCUS about slip assignments assuming he is around he just stares off into space and says I have no slips as each night there are 6-8 slips always open. Who owns this idiotic place? "SLIP OWNERS RECEIVE 50% OF RENTAL INCOME WHEN NOT USING" Maybe someone needs to inform the girls in the front or maybe the dockmaster. Where or where is the dockmaster?
