Will definitely be back...very relaxing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/09
Just returned from NH Krystal PV in September 2008. What a fantastic resort! There are villas and two buildings of hotel rooms. I stayed in the newer building of hotel rooms (only 2 yrs old I think). The room was large and beautiful, the bed was very comfortable for a hotel bed. The bathrooms were clean and large as well. The pools are great, great water temperature and very big. The swim up bar was my favorite spot to be….additionally nice are the embedded sun loungers within the pool. Pool maintenance was good and I was shocked to not have to be at the pool at 6am to reserve a chair! The beach is one of the best, not white sand, but very wide and the view is beautiful! There are hot tubs on the south end of the resort. A pleasant surprise on a walk about. The grounds are very nice, ton's of palm trees and people cleaning all the time. Wi-Fi areas in lobby and main pool. PC available for guest use in the lobby area. Maid service was excellent and the room was kept very clean. In general, friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Dont worry about the beach vendors, they were great as well. They will try to bug you at first but they are pleasant and by the end of the week you welcome their smiles each day!

No Problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/02/09
I read the other reviews and didn't experience any of problems. I upgraded to an ocean view room in a relatively new very clean building directly on the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful to me (maybe because I'm 6'4") and I didn"t have any problems when I requested something. Food was good with lots of selections in the buffet or you could order burgers, hotdogs, fries and club house sandwiches. Some lazy waiters but generally very good. I would recommend the hotel and will definetly return.

Go somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/09
Went A/I and didn't like the fact that the lukewarm buffet was your only meal option. Had to coerce the bartenders to give us real drinks. The shower drain was plugged the whole time. No air conditioning. Run down and unfriendly staff -- particularly the front desk staff. All the staff had their hands out for tips all the time; quite irritating after a while. Would recommend you pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Been there, Done that, GOING BACK!
By heather, 07/02/08
I loved this place. We have been coming here year after year and this is by far the best place to be. If you are a family that just wants to relax during your childrens spring break and not be inturrupted by springbreakers, this is the place to be. Although this place is sort-of losing its sence of the old mexican feeling, the mayor type of person in Puerto Vallarta ordered that there will be no more construction. The price of food is driving up and it sucks being pressured to leave a big tip, but you don't have to and its okay to leave a couple bucks. If you want a great seafood dinner for a couple buck for the whole family, take a cab downtown and walk over the bridge by the beach then walk a couple of minutes past the market and you will fing beach side restaurants with shrimp for about $2.00. The pool is spectacular and if you don't like the 50 story high hotel buildings then this is the place for you. This resort is almost an acre big and the highest hotel building is three stories high. There are neat little roads and you can rent your own house with a private pool and patio. Also the room was comftorbale and there is an entertainment team set up by the pool for water arobics, yoga, water and beach volleyball, and so much more. I love this place.

By D.J., 06/22/08
The people their were fantastic, they were helpful at all times. The a/i was limited but very good. A tip goes a far way at this hotel. We tipped and were treated like gold there. We were only there for 4 days but by the end we knew a lot of the staffs name as they new ours. I would recomend this resort to anyone looking into going to Puerto Vallarta

Not Bad
By brad taylor, 01/25/08
First off I dont recommend this place to singles unless u are here at springbreak. There were alot of couples and seniors here. We had to leave our room at 11 pm because it was too late for our neighbours. The walls are thin like paper. Dont even think about ordering room service, it takes too long if it ever comes. The service here is rather rude all around. Big tips are a must. It is a beautiful resort and great location on the beach. Food was good even though 1 of the menu restaurants was closed. Great place for couples. You need to sign for everyhting here. Even if u are all-inclusive????

They could care less about the customer!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/08
We have been going to the Krystal for many years. In the recent past, they sold off half of the property and there is a huge construction project of high rises going on right now on the half that was sold. The condition of the current facility is deteriorating every year. We bought an ocean front time share for 25 years. After 5 years - they tore the building down that we bought in. There are now only 3 - 2 bedroom ocean front time share units available. The owners could care LESS about their customers. They really prefer that we buy elsewhere, so they can get new customers that don't know that this was once a very nice complex. Do NOT buy your time share here. You will be very disappointed, I promise you!!

can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! User, 07/08/07
I absolutely loved the pool area, it was just gorgeous. the room was really nice, the huge shower was my favorite part. I also loved the open lobby. For me the only cons were that the room service person was rude, and the beds were too hard (think bricks). there is a mall not even two minutes walking away, and it has a starbucks so I enjoyed that very much. It also has beautiful landscaping. There is also a little round store on the way to the lobby so you can stock up on bottled water and Mexican snacks. There are also stray cats and iguanas on the property. I also recommend stopping and looking at the fountains because they are beautiful. I absolutely LOVED Puerto Vallarta and I will definately go back.

Beautiful Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/07
The pool was great, the rooms were decorated very cheery, and I LOOOOOVED the huge open shower! The beach wasn't the greatest, but I stayed closer to the pool. I also like the built in lounge chairs along the pool's edge. The lobby was also very nice.

never again
By terry b, 02/19/07
the bellman wa very pushy as to taking our bags to the room, i am 6'3 and weigh 235 i think i can carry my own bags if i want to.the room we had backed up to the garbage bins and the smell was not good, the air conditioning was not working very good, it was cooler out side, the patio doors did not close all the way and the bugs were having a party in our room,i went to take a shower and found MOLD in the shower and by the sink, the next day we checked out of the room and went to the Velas Vallarta and found a very nice room that had been remodeled and the air conditioning was great. i will never stay at the Krystal Vallarta again and would not recomend it to anyone.
