A Mexican Mediterranean hotel, Cancun

My wife and I invested into this company in November. Upon return I was notified that I was not allowed to have an investment in this company due to security clearance reasons. I notified the company of my dilema and asked to sell my property back. They avoided talking to me on the phone and requested a letter in writing. After sending a letter they did not respond and I had to continue to harass them before finally getting a response. They presented my property to the board to decide if they wanted to buy it back. After waiting 3 weeks we were notified that they were not interested in buying it back and told us we were welcome to contiinue using our property. We are not interested in using it. I can't use it and can't own it and my investment is not only holding a large sum of money that I am not getting anything out of, but it is affecting my career and this company refuses to help me. I expected more from them and am still trying to find a way to fix the problem. This company only wants your money, they are friendly and kind until they have you on the hook and then they have no desire to help you. I advise everyone to avoid any type of contract with these people. They are scammers and a horrible excuse for a vacation investment.

We loved this resort.!!! The staff were excellent..... my three year old Danielle still talks daily (even after a year) about her friend Jonny, and asks regularly when we are going back! Thank you Alex, Jonny and the rest for making our family trip so memorable! With 5 children and one being 3 months old we could not have asked for a better place to stay, we felt safe and at home, and at most times felt that we were the only ones there not only by the service but how peaceful the atmosphere is there! Loved the HUGE room we stayed in and the fact that this is a smaller resort. A great place to relax and enjoy your family. Very very clean and amazingly yummy food (mmmmmm my mouth waters thinking of it).... and yes there may be much the same thing offered daily( though they do try to have a different theme each night) either way it was so yummy I was happy to eat the samething... especially the fruit! Thank you again! and my husband and I will be back at the end of March (just the 2 of us this time;) and planning to bring the kids back next January!

I had an amazing time at Sunset Lagoon! The staff was amazing! Shout out to everyone who made my time there incredible. It was my first time in Cancun, Mexico and I would definitely recommend this place and no other. The scenery is beautiful and there are s many wonderful activities. You will never be bored. I became so attached to everyone there that I ended up crying because I didn't want to leave. I love Sunset Lagoon and everyone there! See you guys soon! xoxox -CHANTELL M

I have owned at this resort for 2 years and each year become more frustrated with trying to deal and communicate with the resort.I have had issues "banking" my week with RCI - resort banking to wrong owner and have also been waiting for a refund from maintenance fee overpayment from using their website and have still not received reimbursemnt after several attempts.

This place was great but a bit expensive. We didn't take full advantage of the all inclusive food and drinks. The service was great and there were lots of things to do.

layed back atmosphere.Buffet got a little old. same kinds of food daily.Service was good, but alot of perks you had no way to know about, and you did not know what to ask . needs more brouchers made available.

Sunset Lagoon was one of the first resorts to open after the devastating hurricane in December '05. We arrived the last week of February and were completely blown away at all of the repairs and improvements that had already taken place. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that they still try to sell you on a new and improved deal. JUST SAY NO! And enjoy your stay. We can't wait to go back!

I think this resort is just beautiful. Its like a place you woulld amagine if you were dreaming about a vacation. You dont even have to leave the resort for entertainment. Theres always a new activity going on. Its a great place for anyone from a group of friends to a family.

My husband and I went there for our 10th anniversary. We had an awesome time. The staff was great....I never heard any of them say no to anyone that had a request for anything. From the young lady that cleaned our room each day to the waiters and entertainment staff we could not have asked for any nicer resort to stay at. I read a lot of reviews before we went and I was very nervous because it seemed to be mixed good/bad but I can't tell you enough what a great time we had. Our room was awesome and right on the water. Beautiful view! They had a lot of special touches and made you feel right at home. I would go back in a minute!

I was a little disappointed with the room I had. But let me tell you, the staff made it all my worthwhile. My kids are still talking about the people they miss. The greatest team I have ever seen, Jaqui, Cesar, Jonathan, Ivan and Alexis the best!!!We miss them so much. Also Jose at the snack bar. I love them all dearly for making our stay there the best ever! My kids are already talking about coming back there next year I hope. Cannot wait to see those guys. They were friendly, kept us busy, entertained us and became our friends. Make sure they are all there next year. The hotel must know the value of these good people. We loved it all. Thank you.
