Temptation Resort Spa, Cancun

Everything about this experience was amazing!! We had an aswesome room everyone from the staff to the guests married single young and old were amazing!! We will be back next year and staying at temptation!!!!

My boyfriend and I were down there for Memorial Day holiday weekend for 5 days/4nights. The place was GREAT, the people were very friendly, the food was good, and the people you meant at the place was down to earth people. The only thing we didn't like about the place was the time share sales agents that trick you by telling you the resort wants to invite you to a "VIP Welcome Tour & Breakfast" appointment. We didn't waste our time going as we didn't have enough time to deal with that kind of business.

Because of the World Health Organizations warning against non-essential travel to Mexico, the occupancy of the resort was extremely low (20%) which was the explanation my friend and I received as to why several of the advertised daytime activities had been canceled, night time activities had been changed and restaurants closed. Also, this resort had been represented as a "singles" get-away, and yet the majority of the guest were couples. Makes it kinda hard on two single gals to mingle! From researching reviews and the resort's website, we knew that it was "topless" optional, but were not prepared for the full frontal nudity that seemed to be encouraged by the "Temptation's Cast" at some of the activities. From front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the room was the soured smell of the bedding; I am assuming from the humidity. The sheets and sleep pillows were fine, but the bedspread and decorative pillows were very musty/soured smelling and had to be put in the closet because the odor was so strong. As for the restaurants, we were unable to try the Asian food because the restaurant was closed while we were there. The Italian and Tex-Mex was very good, however. My friend and I did attend the "Welcome V.I.P. Breakfast" which is a timeshare commercial, but were compensated for our time by $$$ off a tour/excursion. Our guide was very informative about the city of Cancun itself and the Mexican culture, so I felt it was well worth our time even though neither of us entertained the thought of purchasing a time share.

we just got back from temptation today the place is awesome room was great, clean, food at the restaraunts were great the buffet was just ok. but the rest of food very good. all the staff was wonderful bartenders awesome the best.our room was right above patios bar and it was great a little loud at night but not bad if you wanted quiet then dont go to cancun.i saw a lot of negative blogs on here and those people must be t stuffy and uptight and no matter were they would go on vacation would complain yes if try hard you can find some negatives about temptation like most places but all and all it was great for the money. and i would go again in a minute.

The room was smelly, beds were hard, bad food, most of the staff were rude and inattentive (front desk and security) except housekeeping staff who were very good. You have to pay $5 usd for 30 mins of internet access. Will never ever go back and recommend that noone else ever does.

No complaints! Temptations was paradise and I was treated like royalty. It was more than I expected and I recommend it to everyone!

We went here in Oct of 08 and going back in May 09. The staff was the greatest and the entertainment was great. We have been all over the world but this was the best. You meet some of the greatest people there and have a great time relaxing and laughing all day everyday. Plan on looking into buying time share in May. This is not a place for swingers but for a fun adult time it is the greatest. The food was great, the drinks a little watered down but were good. But the staff was what made it so great a place to stay. Everyone was there to make our stay a great one and it was. It is just a place to let your hair down have a lot of fun and laugh until you cannot laugh anymore. People that do not like it are prudes and jealous husbands that have no self esteem. Try it once and you will go back again and again and again like we are.

just returned from our girls trip. This resort is on the bay side, not w/the coral blue water. its off season so there was very little night life that ended very early. The hotel emp. were nice and courteous but we got somehow into an orientation of timeshare!!! They said we would meet for breakfast they would show us around the hotel and it was to push a time share!!! NONE of us were interested in that and than they got upset when we said so. We saw many people at the tables the next day w/the time share stuff! Don't do breakfast! give them a straight up no. I would not stay there again because it was not located on the pretty waters. The bathrooms are very small. No access to internet i recall. I've stayed at nicer hotels.

I have vacationed before in all inclusive resorts in Hawai, Jamaica, Cancun and Cabo. They were all great or okay with some minor dislikes. But I never thought that an All-inclusive resort can be this bad and backwards. First, they advertise themselves as an Adult Oriented/Clothing optional resort. So they give you the impression of a "wild part by the pool" resort. In fact they do have games and activities to promote "wild by-the-pool partying. Just so you know, I went there with my fiance 27 and I am 35. So we did not go there just for the Partying. In any case, they try to do activities by the pool, but how do they expect to achieve that on fake alcohol and lausy drinks!! Yes, they serve the cheapest and fakest off brand alcohol by the pool and all of thier bars. All the drinks are served in cheap simple plastic cups. Plus they are very stingy on the alcohol. If you ask them do put double and triple shots in your drinks, then you will get a buzz but later will suffer from headaches caused by cheap alcohol. Also there is no drinks in coconut or pineapple shells so you feel like you are in a cancun resort. Also the food system there is horrible. They have an 18 hours snack bar (it closes after midnight till morning) So make sure you eat outside after clubbing or you go to bed hungry. There is also a decent second full buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch. But the food is nothing to rave about. But they have 2 restaurants that supposedly serve great food and you have to wake up in the morning (10am) of the same day to make a reservation. But that means staying in a long line for 1 hour everyday to eat some decent food. Another backward thing is that to go to the main buffet, you have to have a shirt on. So from the pool you have to go back to your room and wear something and then come back to the buffet. But here is the catch. The AC in the buffet either doesn't work or they try to save money. So you are forced to eat your food with your shirt on in a poorly air conditioned buffet. Also they have beach and pool activities daily, but when the activities desk closes, you must stop playing too!!! They literally take the vollyball away from you and lock it up!!! And another thing for any of the single men booking for this resort. We learned this because one night coming back from a club we noticed a guy arguing with the front desk. It turns out that if you go out and meet a girl and you try to bring her into your room, the resort charges you $90!!! These were just some of the issues with this resort. I will never go there or recomend anyone going there. This resort needs lots of improvements. I do not know how they ever got 4+ stars!!!

dont buy into this resort they are having major problems with RCI. They will not allow mwmbers to use the ponits for air fare, the limit is 60000 points it takes about 90000 points for 2 tickets from cincinnnati.The service at the resort has been going down hill, members are supposed to be treated a little better the joe schmoe off the street, and that is not happining.Lawyers will probably be involved,there are much nicer places in cancun,that will treat you better,even if you are not a member.
