Already checking out return visit
By joy, 10/30/09
Completely remodeled since last hurricane. Yes, beach was small but every morning workers raked sand and hauled away seaweed that washed ashore overnight, Room great and a.c. was freezing cold. Food and service great. Sexy pool is fun, yes 75% of the women go topless and entertainmet is adult themed but not trashy. Tour tip: Don't miss Chichen Itza and $95 for 45 person bus tour but if book with resort on Sunday it's only $79 for 13 person van. We were not there on Sunday so we paid $300 for a private van plus $30 for a tour guide which is included in the Temptation $79 tour, so it's a great deal. AVOID THIS: Upon check in you are directed to the conseirge desk for all the resort information. This is a scam to schedule for a tour of the resort for one hour and in return they give you a $100 voucher to use within the resort. The real deal is you will waste half a day being stuck in a high pressure time share meeting. Unless you have a half a day to waste being brow beat to spend $40K on a 25 year membership or are really interested in buying one to begin with, you are best off to just keep saying no, no, no and spend your time by the pool having fun instead. We were told one hour and after 60 minutes, cut the salesman off and said we wanted our voucher and he tried to say he had to finish his presentation in order for us to get our voucher. When we said we'd write about it on the internet, he called the manager over to sign the voucher (that's their back up plan to have the manager try to sell you) and he got ugly with us and said it was 90 minutes, not one hour and we shouldn't have wasted their time if we never intended to buy. We had to get agressive with him and insist that they misrepresented themselves and that we'd met our end of the bargain and so they had better do the same since this was their program plan, not ours, then he finally signed our voucher. We went directly to the pool and told everyone we saw about our experience and at least 2 couples cancelled their appointments. NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR THE AGGRIVATION AND LOST TIME !!!

GOING BACK THIS YEAR!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/09
Stayed last year for a year and going back this year for another week. Great value for the price. The reservation restaurants were all fantastic! The other food was average. Drinks were typical of all inclusive resorts. Don't be afraid to stay here. The hotel and staff are wonderful! (Avoid the welcome breakfast aka timeshare salespitch) The resort is well worth the price!!!

I loved it...
By Melissa, 8/21/09
I had a blast!!! For the price (which was cheap) it was a great value. The food was good (I tried 4 of the 5 restaurants). The drinks were a bit on the small side but it was unlimited. The water was clean but had seaweed and a small beach. I never had a problem with the service or staff. It is an adult resort and that has to be kept in mind. The AC was OK in the room. If you're thinking about going, check out the website and look at everything!!! I can't wait to go back...

Never Again!
By girlymae, 8/18/09
Our room was always "damp". Bad humidity I guess. The food wasn't that great and the drinks were watered down. I asked for a bottled water and was told that even though the water came out in glasses, it came out of a bottle of water. My husband and I both came back to the states with diarrhea and nausea. We saw right through the time share pitch and just had to be rude and tell the girl we weren't going to sit through a pitch. After repeating this several times she finally gave up. I wouldn't stay at this place again if it were free!

Temptation Resort - I recommend NOT staying here
By vendetta247, 8/14/09
There's no place to to swim in the sea b/c hotel is in front of a marina, the water is disgusting! Restaurant service was horrible, waiters were very rude. Room was not oceanview even after we purchased upgrade. They lie to you about meeting over breakfast to sell you a timeshare, which they positioned salespitch that would suit my travelling lifestyle. ALL LIES (I could go on forever with this one!) There's an RCI membership that comes w/ timeshare to travel all over the world - so many restrictions, costs more money to book on top of annual fees from the resort's timeshare AND RCI (never explained/documented until book came to my residence). I even tried booking a year to year and a half in advance and still could not go to the places I wanted to, even though they sell this feature in thier pitch. I've tried to cancel, but they give you the run around and then say you can cancel, but they will not give you your money back. I can't believe that there's a bunch of these employees that are in on this scam from the people that greet you to when they bring you up to the room to explain the timeshare. I went at the end of 08, but I'm just finding out about what junk this timeshare is, so spare yourselves the time and money. Don't even take the pathetic tour, tell them right away that you are not interested!

Won't go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/09
Was told to show up in the lobby next a.m. for a massage and instead was turned over to a sales person, who after giving me a tour of the property, hustled me into a conf. room to give me the sales pitch on their time-share program. The whole exercise took over 3 hours. Food was just OK and drinks were very small. Also, music from patio was so loud, sleeping was impossible. Ants in room didn't help, either. Beach was full of sea-weed.

We loved the place!!
By John V, 7/2/09
For all of those who don’t know what to expect… At our arrival at Cancun airport, we were greeted by many friendly tour advice guides. They are very informative, giving you advice on trips and even how to not get taken advantage of by the taxi drivers. They will offer you great deals on day trips, however the catch is that you have to go with them to tour a new hotel and will ask you for $20 to reserve the tour. This was an akward beginning to our vacation, we would advise that you walk past all the tour guides, go straight to the shuttle pick-up where you will see the company you booked. Ours was Best Day, and they were very easy to identify. After about 30 minutes, we arrived to Temptation Resort. The hotel is beautiful, very modern, clean, and with friendly staff. At check-in the desk clerk will advise you to meet with someone to give you a tour of the facilities. They also call this the “welcome package.” After reading other reviews, we opted to skip out since it is another atempt to sell you a timeshare of sorts. We told them we would come back later for the tour (without having the intention of returning), which was a mistake, since they would not stop calling us until we told them we weren’t interested. The down side of course from avoiding the salespitch was that we didn’t receive the tour of the resort and had to figure things out on our own. It was pretty simply though to take a walk around the resort and ask some employees and other guests a few questions to figure where everything was located. It was very easy to find the restaurants, pools and the activities for the day. The center of attention is around the sexy pool. The activities of the day are posted on the board in front of the sexy pool. The games are funny, nothing too crazy, so don’t get your hopes up, but it was more fun when the audience participated. The craziest thing we saw was the naked volleyball game. While you sip you strip. The bartenders are super friendly, and cocktail servers are everywhere. Drinks are of course watered down but, imagine if they weren’t, you’d be drunk in a few hours and miss all the action. Every night there is a different show or theme party. The shows start around 9:00 and last about an hour and a half. After that the crew will entice you to a night out at one of their sponsered clubs. We visited the CT Nightclub with a group from the hotel. We paid $45 which included transportation to the club, entrance, and all you can drink with bottle service, and a VIP area for the group. The place was phenomenal, picture a club in vegas, the sound, the special effects, and the dancers were mind-blowing. If you decide to stay at the resort, there are three lounge bars to choose from. We also took a trip to Isla Mujeres. We booked the trip through the hotel, but make sure you take extra cash and sunscreen. It’s $5 per person at the dock. The trip is all day and if you drop your sunscreen in the water like we did, you’ll be paying atleast $20 for a small bottle of sunscreen. The trip was full of activities, including snorkeling, a mellow version of paragliding, lunch, and an hour to shop the local artesians. The restaurants are great, we loved the Asian place. It wasn’t too packed so we were able to walk right in without a reservation. They do have a dress code, make sure you dress appropriately. There is a breakfast and lunch buffet, as well as the snack bar that seems to be open 24/7. The food is great, they have anything you can ask for. We totally recommend this place. You are going to have a great time!!!

Excellent resort for adults
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/22/09
My wife and I are in our early 30s and just got back from Temptation. We had a wonderful time. Our room over looked the sexy pool followed by the ocean. It was wonderful. We spent all of our time by the sexy pool. That is the place were most people stay. Most of the women were topless. The activities were fun but some were very adult in nature. If you are offended by a little nudity, you shouldn't go to this resort or at least hang out by the quiet pool where things are more laid back (or so I hear). The restuarants are wonderful and the food is great. We ate at all 4 restuarants while we were there and didn't have anything that wasn't good. The wait staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend the resort to anyone who is looking for a fun resort away without kids.
