Very nice, although rooms average
This is a beautiful hotel, built as a penthouse on the Place Bonaventure building. Rooms are located in a ring around lush green gardens and trickling streams, some with ducks, fish, and waterfalls.
The rooms are nice, but at least some are not exceptional, with only double beds and a room size average for any hotel. (For those interested, ethernet Internet access is being installed in the rooms.)
The outdoor pool is apparently open year-round, and admirably has a lifeguard on duty. The health club room is adequate, including modern elliptical machines.
For those on foot, the hotel is located across the street from the VIA rail station, which is connected to several shopping centres, and is itself connected to surrounding office buildings and a subway station. It's also near St. Catherine's street, and a few minutes' walk from Old Montral.
Overall, it's a clean, pleasant hotel with very friendly staff.
