Great winter escape for a family
We stayed there Feb. 13 - 15. I used the coupon from their website and saved $30.00 at check in. Most of the activities open at 5:00pm on Fridays. We started the activities at 8:00pm and had plenty of time to bowl and get on the rides. That night we ate Axle Annies. It was empty....a few people at the bar and us. The food was good - kid's meal $6.00 and includes pop. My husband and I had a burger, fries, and cole slaw for $9.00 each. Our room was in the tower. The room was clean but there was a strange (stale) smell. I had to turn on the air conditioning to air out the room. I wish the table in the room was a little bigger.....too small to sit down and eat. The room did not have a hair dryer. Really missed that because I had to go out to dinner with my hair wet. The iron and board was in the ice dispenser room. Other than that the room was fine. I figured I paid about $150.00USD a night for 2 adults and 2 children (3 & 9) for entertainment and lodging. It was a great winter escape for our family. We did things that we had never done before as a family....played ping pong, swam outside in the snow, bowling, and sat in the sauna together. I took a small suitcase with snacks and pop. Since our room did not have a refrigerator I used the bathroom sink. There were a lot of families with coolers. Half of the families staying in the Atrium rooms were drinking beer and wine. We spent about $60.00 on games (I did not expect that - $15.00 each over 3 days). We ate at the Tree Room on Sunday. They advertise Brunch but I would skip it if your kids are fussy eaters. It was very expensive and my kids only eat the breakfast items. The Brunch items included mostacolli loaded with vegetables (onions, broccoli, etc.), potato cream soup, and other very adult items.
