Gorgeous View, But A Bit Nightmare-ish
By ,
I liked the view from the window in the room I was in. It overlooked the CN Tower, which lights up every night every hour on the hour from dusk until 2 AM. The pool was clean, and the pool water was warm. I disliked the job housekeeping and the hotel management did and the hot tub and pool toys. The hot tub's jets weren't working like they should be, which made the hot tub water a bit cloudy. The pool toys they had for kids were very worn and faded. There were issues with my room almost every day I was there. First, there wasn't enough towels for my whole family. Then, the drain in the bath tub drained way too slow. We notified both the hotel management and housekeeping and were promised it would be taken care of right away (it wasn't). I finally got extra towels. I had to fix the poorly-draining bath tub drain myself (it was clogged with a huge wad of shampoo-covered hair and the drain stopper was held on with what looked like denture putty). Then, the maid did a poor job cleaning the bathroom and left the hair from the drain sitting in the trash can in the bathroom. To top that all off, there were a bunch of young men drinking and partying in the room next door (they were all underage). After asking the young men next door to please quiet down repeatedly and talking with the head of housekeeping and the hotel management, they finally were given one night for free. Some of the tickets the concierge people sold were a bit pricey for what the tickets and activities they were for were actually worth. It was a nightmare, even though the view was gorgeous!

Excellent
By ,
This hotel was amazing. It was my first time in Toronto and it was an amazing experience. The room was a nice size, very clean, and the staff was great. The restaurants in the Hotel are also very nice. The parking situation was not great but I expected it to be hectic in downtown Toronto. Will definitely stay here when we go back.

pool was overcrowded and filthy!

We always stay here since we love the pool..This time was different since it was march break and the pool was packed!!People were actually walking around the pool with their outdoor boots on! and filthy decks with I am sure outdoor crap! My daughter got very sick there and ended up in Emerg.

Great family trip
By ,
Jeanette was great at the front desk and that set a very positive tone. Location was good...not a bad walk to Hockey Hall, CN Tower...Eaton Center just a coule blocks away. Lobby attached to several stores and quick eats. Lobby was bustling with bar and nice computers for use. Rooms were nice and bed were nice and big and clean.

Wheelchair Etiquette and Other
By ,
At our departure, March 18 a.m., not one unnocupied standing staff helped us load our luggage or wheelchair in the trunck of my Camry. We struggled for over 15 minutes. We would have gladly given one of them another $5.00 tip to help us. Not only was this unacceptable but down right rude. At 65, retired and good tippers, we should have had better service. We suggest you give your staff a pep talk on how to respect us seniors, since we (baby boomers) will be a large part of your clientel in the near future. Marie West travelling with Barbara Kelly, Room 585, Mar. 16 and 17.

Stay here if you are visiting Toronto!
By ,
This Sheraton was a VERY refreshing change from the horrid Sheraton on the Falls at Niagra. Beginning with our arrival and the helpful valets who rushed to assist us to the wonderful Marilyn who checked us in early and was ever so helpful, our stay was magnificant! Our every need was met, and met beyond the expected service. The Bistro on Two had a very extravagent American breakfast and the staff there was amazing. The Trader was awesome with impeccable service as well. Every question was answered and answered with grace and efficiency. Other than in the home of a relative, I couldn't have been treated any better by everyone involved with this hotel. It is a must for a Toronto visit!

Can't stand the heat? Stay away from this hotel!
By ,
We had a very negative experience with this hotel. Several staff members were rude and the hotel refused to fix our air conditioning. Thus, the room temperature never dropped below 77 degrees, and it was too hot for our 11 month old son to sleep. So our overly tired son was very fussy and bothered the neighbors -- who kept asking us to keep him quiet. The hotel was not responsive to any of our concerns (or those raised by hundreds of others attending the same conference). We will never stay at this hotel again.

Great experience
By ,
Just returned from a one night stay. We had the theatre deal, room, tickets for show and a meal. Excellent location, staff extremely nice and helpful, The beds were so comfy; our only complaint was the noice from a fan in the bathroom; we closed the door when we went to sleep. Also, the desk was dusty and the door looked like it had something yucky spilled on it at one time; however, we hardly spent any time in the room. It did have an excellent view.
