Good Location..but won't go back again!

We went for a vacation to Toronto and we booked this hotel checking out its convenience and location,we also had a good time..But it was only when we we left in the morning,we realized something was not right ..couldn't return back to complain.we had bug bites all over our necks ...so vacation turned out to be a nightmare and we had to steam everything including our car :(

Poorly maintained, stay at another hotel

- Long lineup (waited more than 40 minutes) to use the one (1) computer terminal with internet service (couldn't use wifi in my room since it was slower than dial-up). There is no excuse why the Courtyard downtown Mariott can't have more than 1 computer station. People behind me waiting to print their boarding passes were complaining and said they were never staying at the downtown Courtyard again. - My room: floor near bathroom (near vanity and closet) was completely wet. I had to use all of my towels to lay them down on the floor to be able to soak up and walk to the bathroom, leaving me with only a couple of hand towels. - My bed: Yellow (pee) stains were found on the white linens. Don't think they've ever heard of bleach detergents. - Check out lines were long - only 1 representative during rush check out time. Poorly managed.

We go about 2 times a year to TO and we love this hotel. Its right in the middle of everything and the rooms are super clean and they service is always excellent.

Great Location, Great Hotel

Every time I travel to Toronto, I stay at the Courtyard Downtown. It's location is perfect, a few steps from the subway and right on Yonge Street. The rooms are always clean and spacious. This is the perfect hotel for any pleasure trip to Toronto!

Comfortable, clean, like new

This was a very comfortable room for our family. We got the 2 queen bed room. We asked for extra blankets and an extra towel and after about an hour someone dropped off 2 comforters in plastic bags and a big plastic bag of towels. Kind of strange, but ok. We had a room including breakfast, which is in a big but none-the-less crowded buffet dining room. Standard cooked-ahead fare, but they had someone preparing eggs to order. There was a lineup for that. The location is ok. Not an attraction in itself, but within a 10 minute walk of the ROM. The check-in desk can give you a good area map upon request. The price is reasonable for a hotel of it's size in the downtown area. Wireless access for computers is free, just call the desk for the password. Parking is off-site somewhere, so you are better off to pay for valet parking.

great location in downtown core

We stayed there for Toronto Pride 2007, just lucking out on a deal for $135. For the price and location 5 star all the way. I found no parking on property a bit disappointing, and the bathroom with a separate sink in another room a bit odd, but for the price and location it was a great stay.

A few things to say

WEspent a weekend there in August. The location is great. The Subway staion is veyr close. A few compliants - 1. It takes a while to get the frontdesk to answer the phone 2. There are two types of parkings regular is $20 CAD which is outside the hotel property, you will need a key to get access to the garage. Valet parking is $25 CAD, which park park your car in the hotel parking lot. 3. The shower was terrible. They don't turn the water up, so very little water would coming from the shower head. I guess it is the typical courtyard quality. 4. The pool is veey small. The awful thing is there is no towels available. You have to bring yours from the room.

I've visited Toronto many times and this is the only place I've stayed at. I love the location, the bar is great and everyone working at the Hotel have made my stay enjoyable. They made me feel at Home, even when I requested the same room for every trip because of the wonderful view. Great Hotel. Hey Courtyard, can I get a discount for being a frequent stayer?....Just checking.

Quality at last!

I was thoroughly pleased with this hotel after several disappointing nights at another hotel just a few blocks away...The Courtyard Marriott honored my non-smoking reservation, my room was clean and nice to be in, staff were friendly and courteous, elevators were fast and efficient, check out was painless...I can't say enough-I will definitely be returning again-just hope they are consistent! Jeremy
