Worst hotel experience ever
By ,
First at all, there is no Falls View from this Hotel as it's name suggest. We bought a 2 nights package for $245 and at the end the check out bill was $345, which included a hefty parking charge of $10 per night, additional $50 for kids meal (the package supposedly includes kids meal). The meals does not worth the money. The hotel pictures just show the main entrance, however the hotel is very old, aisles are very dark with insufficient illumination, elevators are old, rooms decoration is outdated. The Hotel Manager was incapable to handle our concerns and they never issue a credit for the overcharge. Our stay in this Hotel was the worst we have ever experienced.

Mixed Review!
By ,
Let me start off by saying that we go to Niagara about once a month and this was the first time that we stayed at this hotel. I have never been to a hotel and been treated like this before! Upon arriving the front desk staff were very nice, you then have to walk all the way through the parking lot to get to which ever building you are staying in. The elevator will only fit a few people at a time so we ended up taking the stairs the whole time! We get to our room (which we upgraded to the larger room), the room was clean, but basic. There was no shampoo, all you get is a bar of soap for the sink. Then the problems started with when we were talking in our room it was about 11pm and we were only talking and I stress we were not making a lot of noise we had Security knock on our door giving us a noise violation and warned us that if they had to come back it would be a $400 fee and we would be evicted. And security is bunch of 20 year old kids. My Husband went to speak to front desk and ask if anyone had complained and they said "no, it just so happened that security had happened to walk past your door" So we went out for a bit and came back at about 2am and there were people on their baloneys yelling at this point all drunk so we stayed in the parking lot to talk to our Aunt and Uncle. There were prostitutes walking around in the parking lot. So just watch out if you do stay here!! Make sure your asleep by 11pm so your not making any noise!! And just watch out for the prostitutes!! I would not stay here again even if it was free!

Dont Bother
By ,
Hotel smelt really bad throughout. Manager Mr.Zafar was rude. But the absolute worst part of this hotel is the restaurant. I had a party of six, we all had food poisoning. The Chef kept wandering around the dining room staring and talking with all the guest. His clothes were disgusting. At the end of the evening a cook came out of the kitchen and wanted us to leave so he could close up.

Very pleased with this hotel
By ,
Very nice place, great location, clean quiet room, good service. All in all I would stay here again. Only one complaint. The lobby is a floor below the lowest floor that has elevator access so you need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to get to your room. They should at least offer help to get your stuff up those stairs.

Read this prior to booking
Prior reviews had us looking forward to an updated property with a decent level of activities for the children. Upon checking into the hotel, we were placed in an old section of the building in a room that does not appear to have been updated in 10-15 years. Wallpaper was stapled to the sheetrock and extremely outdated and room was very dark, even with the blinds open. Wireless internet access is only available in the newer sections of the building which are the upgraded rooms/suites. Upon discovering this, we contacted the front desk to attempt to upgrade to one of these rooms for the initial $20 price difference at the time of booking and were refused unless we paid an additional $70 per night. The indoor pool was new & clean (although virtually unused as it was extremely cold)and the outdoor pool was cold as well. We were unable to find the game room that was mentioned in their amenities. The outdoor playground has a single slide and 2 swings and is located in a small grassy area between a parking lot and busy street. The location of the hotel is convenient - in fact it is located directly across the street from the Hilton and Fallsview Casino. This may not be a bad deal if you are staying without children and choose to upgrade to one of the larger rooms/suites.

Best (western) to say away from
By ,
Rude staff, that want to charge to for anything and everything. Beware parking costs that are not covered with your room. Our group was hit was a $250 charge for smoking, although the one member of our group who smoked, smoked outside. Although the hotel is non-smoking there is a terrible musty smell in it. Smoke might actually be an improvement. I tried to take the matter up with Best Western, but they said each hotel was independently owned, and they couldn't do anything. I stay in many hotels regularly on business (Best Western's included), and have never run into another place so eager to try and charge you extra, or fine you for something. Terrible customer service, moldy smelling rooms. Stay away from this place.

Had a great time
By ,
I liked the price and that it was close to everything.I did not like that we had to wait in line to get a room for over a half hour cause it was busy and there was only 1 person working that night . . . Over all had a Blast . . .

A Nasty Hotel
By ,
The Best Western Fallsview is awful. First, there is no view of Niagara Falls--that's just a hook to gouge tourists. Our room was tiny, dark, and smelled like sweat. The shower and pool were nasty. The hotel charges guests $10/day to park in their lot, although the nearby Days Inn has free parking. This dive exists to gouge tourists, and the owner should be ashamed.
