Money is more important than customers!

I phoned and booked 2 rooms for some workers we had going to the area for 2 nights. I was given a price of $40 per room per night...what a deal I thought! When the staff returned I noticed that we were charged $65.60 per room per night. So i called the Motel and was greated by a very rude man. when I explained the difference on the price he said it was because the rooms I booked, the people who were in them the day before re booked for another night so he moved our people to different rooms and charged $25 more per night per room. $25 dollars is not a huge deal but it is the fact that we were given a price and charged a different price. Having stayed in many hotels i know that if they are over booked and move you from a standard room to a suite (for example) you ARE NOT charged the more expensive price, it is the hotel/motels responsibility to insure your room is ready and available at the price you are given. Our conversation continued and as I said he was very difficult to try and come to some sort of agreement with and he ended the conversation by hanging up on me..I wonder if the new price was so eaisly charged because he was given a credi card number over the phone instead of the staff paying for the rooms when they got there?? So I DO NOT recommend staying here there are plently of other places that you can stay in shelburne and area...Just to bad for the oxbow as we are sending 2 crews to the area for a month and would have put them at the oxbow..not now!! So to Mr Personality do the math on that!
