Howard Johnson Hotel - Victoria City Center, Victoria

This place is a dive. We stayed here only because Worldmark put is here for two "free" nights for going to one of their presentations. Our room was filthy and dated, not to mention dark and gloomy. The curtains on the window were absolutely filthy - i don't think they'd been laundered or replaced since the hotel was built. We couldn't wait to get out of there. I will say that the front desk staff was friendly, and the location was good. Other than that - avoid this place at all costs. I'm sure there are plenty of other places in Victoria that are economical AND clean.

We have spent a few months at this hotel in winters of 2006/07. The rooms were clean, and comortable. The staff helpful. It's not the Ritz. For the money you pay, its very comfortable, and friendly. Bus service to town almost outside the door.

It's a little out of the way, but close enough to be able to get to most places. We couldn't ever figure out if there was a continental breakfast. At no point was it clear.
