Radisson Hotel Calgary Airport, Calgary

The hotel was recently renovated - everything looks nice and clean. We are happy with hotel services. Location is great ; only 5 minutes drive to restaurants and shopping malls. Hotel offers free shuttle to/from Calgary airport - but not to nearby area ( otherwises, it will be perfectly convenience ). If you have a car, the parking is free. The gym is enough but not extravagant fancy. Indoor Pools and Jaccuzzi are sparking clean.

For people considering this hotel to stay at, I advice you to start looking for other options. This hotel is old and poorly managed, half of the housekeeping staff couldn't even speak proper English to say the least. This place has been under construction for the past 6 months I am told and its not looking to get better any time soon. Take my word for it, don't even bother.

I liked the Sleep Number beds, and the front desk staff were great. I stayed three weeks in January 09, and several floors were still under renovation. It was a nice hotel, but the un-renovated rooms I stayed in were very worn. The first room on the 9th floor had only super hot water in the tub, toilet, and sink. I called the desk, and was told to flush the toilet three times to get cold water. It did work, but having to do that every single time I wanted to use a tap got old, so I moved to a room on the 8th floor. The room heaters sound like the air brakes from a truck sometimes. The elevators tend to get stuck. The maid service is uninspired at best. Room service trays sit in the hall most of the day. I've had better rooms in construction camps in northern Alberta. The BotaniCa restaurant was on par with the local Dennys. My recommendation is to wait until the renovations are completed before staying here.

First few hours on vacation. First floor room with sliding patio glass door. Poor security bar on that door / rundown area in the courtyard outside, no security camera in the courtyard. Came back to find the room broken into and about $1400 worth of stuff missing. Duty manager helpful, but no attempt by the general manager to contact us / offer assistance. Hotel claims they are not responsible for lack of security.

The hotel, staff, food and service was terrible. I got the feeling that they do not treat their employees properly and the management was very bad. The rooms are very over priced and I will never stay at another Radisson again.
