Better than a Motel 6, what do expect the Hilton?

The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful, polite and very knowledgeable about the local area. We walked in with no reservations in the middle of a blizzard. The business center was useful and the internet access quick.
The bartender in the bar was friendly and funny. We couldn't evaluate the complimentary breakfast because of a staff shortage in the morning (family emergency, very understandable situation). The staff was very apologetic and helpful as we were directed to a nearby cafe that was great; it had the best waffles and yummy country potatoes.
The room was clean; there was heat and plenty of clean towels. There is access to the pool from inside for those who can follow signs, as well as access from the outside. The patio furniture inside the pool area was very comfortable and the hot tub was hot and the pool just perfect. The pool house also had plenty of extra towels.
We also noticed other patrons with pets.
It’s not the Hilton, but for the money I got a lot of amenities and friendly service, it was a nice surprise coming in from the cold.
