First and last visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/11
Exterior was filthy. Cigarette butts, mud, stains on walkway and walls, same piece of used gum in water fountain for three days, same beer can on floor in hallway for three days, pool bottom covered with crud, doors walls stained etc. Management should rent pressure washer and start at one end. Room was not as bad. Pool had no towels, except for dirty ones on floor at 10:00 am. Thank God I got room discount or I'd be realy pissed.

Not fit for human occupancy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/13/11
I stopped by this hotel to inquire about vacancies for an upcoming weekend. Upon arriving in the parking lot I was hoping we wouldn't get a flat tire from all the broken glass bottles lying around. I'm not sure why I bothered to go in but I did and asked if I could look at a room for comparison purposes. The clerk was friendly but due to the low light in the lobby all I could make out was a shadow. It got worse as walked down the even darker hallway to the room. When I finally got the door to open, it was then that I decided that I wouldn't let my dog stay there. Just for curiosity purposes, I decided to go out into the courtyard leading to the pool since it was on the way back to the front desk. Again, more broken beer bottles, trash and piles of cigarette butts. Oh, and the pool-um-well, I wouldn't get in it. I'm extremely shocked that Ramada would have thier corporate name associated with this property. I would guess that no one from corporate has visited this hotel in over 20 years by the condition it is in.

DUMP - FILTHY DIRTY & SMELLY ROOMS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/23/11
The front desk was ok if they didn't have a bad attitude. The outside looked like a run down place that no one cared about. The internet picture has no justice for this place. It's a dump. We The fire detector was pulled out of the wall. A TOTAL DUMP. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!

Keep Driving
By traveler, 4/22/10
The Staff is amazing, don't know why they continue to stay there, The hotel, A DUMP, guess the owner don't care about his properties and lets them run down in a really bad way, hallways are dark and I was told he didn't want to pay high electric bills, the outside doors have no weather stripping, and the way the wind blows in Laramie, you may as well leave the door open, not much difference, the internet is almost impossible to function and you can't stay online more than about 15-20 mins at a time, was told the hot tub has been out of service for about 2 years and no plans to fix it either, good luck driving through the parking lot, hope you come with a 4 wheel drive, I have driven mountain trails that were in better shape than this parking lot, the outside of the property looks as though the place is shut down, I'm sure that any hotel in Laramie would be better than the Ramada Inn. My suggestion....keep driving, there has to be better out there. Also, be sure to take ear plugs if you decide to stay here, the train track is right beside the hotel and that thing never stops running during the night..

Better than a Motel 6, what do expect the Hilton?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/5/08
The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful, polite and very knowledgeable about the local area. We walked in with no reservations in the middle of a blizzard. The business center was useful and the internet access quick. The bartender in the bar was friendly and funny. We couldn't evaluate the complimentary breakfast because of a staff shortage in the morning (family emergency, very understandable situation). The staff was very apologetic and helpful as we were directed to a nearby cafe that was great; it had the best waffles and yummy country potatoes. The room was clean; there was heat and plenty of clean towels. There is access to the pool from inside for those who can follow signs, as well as access from the outside. The patio furniture inside the pool area was very comfortable and the hot tub was hot and the pool just perfect. The pool house also had plenty of extra towels. We also noticed other patrons with pets. It’s not the Hilton, but for the money I got a lot of amenities and friendly service, it was a nice surprise coming in from the cold.

ewwwww Gross!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/08
We too ended up staying at this Ramada Inn. We go to Laramie at least one time per month and will never end up staying here again. I would rather sleep in my car! Of course Laramie has to be one of the coldest places in the winter. When we stayed we froze to death because the heater didnt work. It was so cold outside we thought we would just give it time. There isnt enough time in my lifetime to make it warm with that heater. Instead of bothering anyone we decided to turn on the shower and the hair dryer to warm it up a bit. The water in the shower was rust colored and it smelled so bad we didnt even take a shower the next morning. I didnt even think to look under the mattress, mostly because I didnt want to know what would be waiting. We didnt end up getting much sleep that night between freezing and the train blowing by it was terrible. Breakfast? HA! The only breakfast offered there is for the people that work there. They are more concerned whether you made sure and put your tickets in the bowl than if there was anything actually to eat. Unbelievable. I asked for a straw, they acted as if they never would have anything like that! We will never stay here again. I would say they'd be better off to light a match.

Awful...stay away!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/07
I had made reservations two weeks ahead of my arrival date. the room was disgusting. There were old cookies(among many other things) under the bed...very noticeable stains on the bedspread and the mattress was stained in blood. I should have asked for a refund. The price is outrageous for this dump. The room was very dirty and I suggest they condemn this disgrace to the beautiful town of Laramie.

Awful Experience!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/2/07
Since we arrived late in the evening, we weren't able to look at the location very much. However, the room was extremely unclean. Every surface of the room seemed to be covered with hair. There was hair on the bedding, the sink, the bathroom floor, and the bathtub. The carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed. The most disgusting surprise was found under the bed. About an inch of debris, including bottle caps, popcorn, and what appeared to be a year's worth of dust, covered the area beneath the bed. After seeing this sight, we asked to be shown another room. An extremely intoxicated maintenance worker attempted to help us, but he couldn't get the door open, so the desk clerk had to help out. After they finally got the door open, we were able to look at the room. The only improvement was that the area beneath the bed was vacuumed. Even though our reservations were made online and we were told that there would be no refund, we chose to go elsewhere. The Days Inn we ended up staying in was a dramatic improvement.

Stay Away from this one!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/07
The building itself is deteriorating. The exercise room was dirty (floor, equipment), the water bottles empty and sitting next to the cooler. Equipment was old, in poor condition. The room I was given didn't seem to have been cleaned after the last occupant had left: "Continental breakfast" was still in the garbage can. Dirty floor. Sheets so thin you could see through them! Shower curtain attached to rod with plastic electric wiring clips! Continental breakfast a choice of cold cereal or doughnuts--no fruit, yogurt, or grains.

Never again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/07
We went ready for a pool and husband want to go to the bar for a drink and everything was close. They didn't tell us this when we call before hand. The free breakfast was cereal. Our bathroom light was out and they couldn't come fix it. They didn't clean our rooms just replaced our towels and that was it.
