Phister was Phantastic
By ,
This was such an unexpected joy. We had a quick trip to Milwaukee planned for January and we feared the worst. But this hotel added some warmth and made for a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the "old section" which has a historical charm to it - tall ceilings and classy decor. But the service and restaurants is all modern luxury. Their penthouse-level bar/lounge was a lot of fun, and the concierge was able to direct us to great restaurants and fun things to do while visiting. The location was also ideal. Easy to find, and fairly central in downtown, I was able to walk (through the cold) to the Milwaukee Art Museum, and to other local sights, without frostbite. Staying off-season meant that the room rates were ridiculously low. So much luxury for so little money left us feeling that we had truly found something special.

Nice getaway
By ,
Quiet, clean, nice sized room. Had the lakeview king room. Great location - downtown Milwaukee, free parking for guests. Slept in till 11 am for the generous 12 pm Checkout. The Historical look of the hotel was great. 23rd floor martini bar was pretty smokey...

Gorgeous

I love this hotel. Everytime my husband and I go up there to stay we have the best time. We haven't had a bad stay yet. This past weekend we took all three of our kids. A first for us with all of the kids. And again not let down by any means. The Valet guys no my husband the minute he pulls up. The whole staff goes above and beyond or expectations. We love everything from the pool on the 23rd floor, the exquiste bed linens to having an umbrella in the closet. Which came in hand this past rainy weekend. Did I mention my little boy got a photo this weekend with one of the Reds Pitchers. Oh and how last year I shared an elevator with Roger Clemmons. Many baseball teams and other celebrities stay here. As well as top officials. And be sure to try the banana french toast. TDF We will be back in a couple of weeks. I had a pedicure there this weekend which was also heavenly in there wellness spa. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Whether you are getting married and need a reception ballroom, or a romantic geteway or taking the family this is the place to stay.

Pfister
The Pfister is easily one of the classiest hotels in Downtown Milwaukee. It is within walking distance of most everything in Downtown Milwaukee, including the art museum.

The premier hotel in Milwaukee

The staff bends over backwards to make sure you are satisfied. The atmosphere is that of a world-class hotel. The downtown location is perfect for the business or leisure traveler.

Sophisticated Elegance!
By ,
From the moment you pull up to the valet, the gracious and friendly staff at this downtown hotel will impress you at every turn. The hotel lobby is exquisitly beautiful but warm and welcoming at the same time. We arrived for a stay the week before Christmas and the holiday decor was beautiful and tasteful. I could have spent the rest of my life in front of the beautiful fireplace in the lobby. The rooms, while a little on the small side were beautifully decorated and offered every amenity a person could desire. The view of Lake Michigan and downtown Milwaukee was magnificent. The Sunday brunch was delicious and the service first-class. I have stayed at many 4-star, 5-star hotels worldwide and I would rate the Pfister on a par with many of them, i.e. the Waldorf Towers, Ritz-Carlton/Chicago, Dorchester/London, the Drake/Chicago, Mark Hopkins/San Francisco, etc.,etc. You will not be disappointed in this hotel. Although, if I were to return, I would upgrade to a suite for more room it staying longer than the 2 nights we were there. We stayed in room 1909 in the tower and I would recommend it for a long romantic weekend to all who live in the Midwest.
