a group pushed there way into my sons room , hit him. After returning from Hospital and taking a shower the attacker beat on my sons door and said he was going to Kill my son for calling the Cops My son asked the Manager to give him another room .....was told no My son left the Hotel . His friends told him there was another breakin and they beat a women in her room. They comped all my sons friends rooms..................not my son and NEVER gave him an Apoligy for the incident . UNSAFE HOTEL .......DOESN'T CARE.......as a matter of fact the Security officer told him it wasnt his problem and so did the front desk. unsafe -----unsafe ----unsafe

Great friendly staff, nice sized rooms, always clean. This is one of the better hotels in Downtown Milwaukee. I've stayed there 15 times this year on business and have had one problem that they fixed right away and then were more than generous in making it up to me.

My first experiance with the hotel was when I arived and they told me I would not beable to Vallet. After talking to the front desk that was taken care of. We had nemerus problems with the catering staf and mangment. then at check out I was charged for both nights of my stay (one was supose to be comped, the frount desk fixed it quickly). After talking to others in my party I discovered that many had simmular issues and many will not return to this location. on a saturday afternoon with 1 or 2 other groups in the restrant it took over 45 minnuted to get burgers nad sallads for my party, not acceptible. I will not be returning to this location for any buisnes or pleasure they have given Doubletree a bad name.

The staff was not friendly or helpful. It seemed as though they did have basic knowledge of the hotel nor the area. The hotel was fairly nice. The room was clean and well appointed. The brownie points that they gained in cleanliness and newness was lost by the staff interaction.

I stayed at the hotel a few times when it was the Holiday Inn and it was a very nice and clean hotel with execellent customer service. I actually was thinking that I was going to be staying at the Holiday Inn again but when i got there they had converted to a Doubletree Hotel and did a huge renovation. the hotel feels like it is brand new. Let me say the hotel is amazing and the staff is even better than before. The rooms are probably the cleanest rooms I have ever seen in a Hotel. (not joking) They have a great fitness center and an outdoor pool with a nice deck area to relax in the evening. I will be back!!!

This is a good value for the location. It is across the street from the Hilton in the center of Milwaukee. The only strong negative is the restaurant. The prices in the restaurant are premium prices, but the food is mediocre at best. On a positive note, it was recently announced that this hotel will become a Doubletree in mid 2007. Many construction upgrades are taking place currently.

We came for a weekend lakefront festival, and the ammenities we were drawn to initially were the festival shuttle which picks up and drops off right accross the street, and the in-house lounge. Both which make enjoying the Milwaukee festivals, very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful all around, as the hotel was very clean with updated decor. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfy. We stayed in a Corner King room with a king bed and queen sofa sleeper which had a wonderful view through floor to ceiling corner windows. The bathroom was a bit cramped although very clean with newer fixtures and excellent water pressure. The only downside to the stay was the amount of street noise we could hear in our room, even though we were on the 8th out of 10 floors. Perhaps because our room faced N/E and the corner of Wisconsin Ave. and 6th St. which are two main roads, and because of the large amount of windows the room had. The noise made sleeping-in a bit unpleasant, especially after a night of festival going. We would stay there again, but would probably choose a room with a different location towards a less busy street.

Stayed Here in March. Very efficient staff and valet services. Was within walking distance of Bradley Center, imax and the Marcus Center. Only bad point was half the excercise equipment was out of order! Looked like equipment for a home gym, not was for a busy hotel.

The reason I chose this hotel is because the description stated, within walking distance to the Bradley Center and also because the hotel itself sounded nice. The valet parking staff as well as the front desk staff were prompt,professional and courteous. The hotel, as stated, was exactly 3 block from the Bradley Center, and we didn't have to fight the event traffic! Since we all can use a little exercise, we walked. The room was nice and clean, and in the morning we had a wonderful breakfust buffet in the hotel restaurant, Fitzgerald's. All in all, the whole experience was a 5! I would definitely stay there again!
