Days Inn of Milwaukee South, Oak Creek

I was a little hesitant about staying here, as the only review was a negative one from a while back. The entire hotel has been recently renovated, the staff is cheerful and considerate, and the rooms are awesome! The exercise room has brand-new, state-of-the-art treadmills and stationary bikes, and the computer in the business center was easily accessible and fairly fast. Breakfast was your typical continental fare, but the it was very comfortable in the dining area. The only drawbacks are that there is no pool or hot tub, and the bed was a little stiff. Other than that, the entire experience was a wonderful surprise. The area is OK, right by the freeway. It's not in a very new part of town, so I felt the need to make sure the car was locked up. The restaurant that shares the parking lot ("The Branded Steer") was really good; good-size portions and decent prices. (The tab for my family of 4 was $70, including drinks and tip.) Not only was the hotel and staff very enjoyable, the room rates are some of the best I've seen near the airport. Overall, I would rate my experience at a solid 9 out of 10.
