nice breakfest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/05/09
I liked the tall atrium and the decor, the breakfest was great what i did not like about it was the glass panels on either side of the door shook when you shut the door on your room . You could hear people coming and going in the halls. the sauna was not working. the bathrooms were not all that clean. I don't think I could recommend this hotel to others

$250 deposit if you use a Debit Card to pay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/15/09
I have been staying at this location for over 20 years. It was fantastic as "Embassy Suites", then was converted to "Regency Suites" and was equally fantastic. Now that it is run as "Hotel Sierra" it is a HUGE disappointment. I booked through a very reputable travel site, which took payment from my card upon booking. I did call the hotel and offered them the opportunity to price match the travel site price, but they were too busy to talk to me when I called. I had the printout from the site showing the payment with a note stating the room was paid for, but I would still be responsible for any incidentals, such as phone, etc. When we checked in, the woman wanted to charge us again. I showed her the receipt and she just stated it was not in their system. After a wait, she finally looked through some paperwork on her counter and found what she needed. Once she located the paperwork showing that I had indeed paid, she asked for a credit card for incidentals. No problem. I handed her my debit card. She then informed me that if I used a Debit Card, they would have to reserve a $250 deposit on the card in case of charges. Seriously? The room cost me $84, and they need a $250 deposit if I use debit? There was a card on the counter that I spotted after she informed me of the deposit. The card stated it could take up to 30 days to have the deposit back in your account. So, I went back into my wallet and pulled out a credit card. She tried several times and finally said the computer was not taking it. SO, I gave her another credit card, which she ran through 3 times before it finally went through. The entire time she portrayed the attitude as if it was my fault her credit card system was not working right. Finally we got our room keys and went upstairs, finding that the only major changes with the new RENOVATIONS, was a flat panel TV and they REMOVED the table and chairs from the sitting area. Now it is just a couch and the bar. We had our daughter with and no place to sit her down to play games. By the way, there were FOUR employees behind the counter when we checked in but only ONE actually working directly with customers as a line formed in the lobby. One employee seriously just stood there and was staring at people in the lobby like he was security at a rock concert. Perhaps the employees were just cranky because they were working on Valentines, but for those of us who were paying to spend a nice Valentines day there, it was not worth it.

Watch the pool area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/07
It was a very nice place to say everything you need under one roof but the floor around the pool area was extremely slippery (watch your step). My 18 month old son ended up slipping and hitting the back of his head on the tile floor and I almost went down shortly after. Other than that it was a nice peaceful place to stay. Our favorite place to stay in Green Bay
By Brenda, 04/30/07
The pool opens at 5:00 a.m. They serve breakfast until 10:00 on weekends. My kids couldn't be happier with the opportunity to swim and the food choices for breakfast. The rooms are spacious. Having a vanity outside of the bathroom is key to getting the family ready to go in a hurry.

I would go again......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/06
The location was ideal, the price was a value, the overall setting was clean, comfortable and it had a "courtyard" feel to it which made it pleasant when leaving the room. I didn't have time to use the pool but it was generous and close to the rooms. the hotel registration desk personnel was very helpful, courteous and pleasant to deal with; they worked hard to fix a mix-up on the check-out process, which was an issue for me and if handled differently could have left me with a negative impression. The only thing I think that could use some improvement was that it would be good for the rooms to be checked out thoroughly before someone checks in. The vent in the bathroom didn't work and while I could deal with it for the 2 days I was there, I think that over time, it may be harmful to the walls and encourage mold. Otherwise, I found it be very comfortable.

Very loud at night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/06
The hotel staff was very nice while checking in. The rooms are very nice and clean. The sofa bed was HORRIBLE. The most uncomfotable bed I have ever experienced. The room was very warm and noone came to fix it when asked. The hotel is SO loud at night if there is an event. They also have a bar and it does not quiet down until well after 3:00 a.m. My 2 yr old was up from 1 a.m.-4 a.m. scared about all the yelling he was hearing. I was very disappointed. I did complain to the front desk staff both nights and they stated the security would take care of it, but they did not. The design of the hotel is just bad for the noise with the open atrium around the rooms. It is not bad if you are in the back room, but very loud in the front room. I complained to a manager and did receive $20 off our bill. I would never stay there again.
