Osseo Inn, Osseo

The room rates are great. The rooms are clean and there is a great swimming pool and bar with great food on the premises. The staff are very friendly and are willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable. They are also very knowledgable of the area. They also encourage you to bring your pets and children on vacation with you. I plan on many returns to the Oseo Inn in Oseo, WI.

Just got from spending 6 days there. Granted it's not the Ritz but our room was clean, The sheets, towels and beds were changed daily. As far as smoking in rooms not that we heard of. The price was right for us. Besides another motel in area (higher priced) had a bug problem. The pool was nice and clean. We are planning on staying there again.

Older smelly building, that reeked of cigarettes despite being non smoking. The sheets were stained, the towels were dirty, the bedspread stunk like it had't been cleaned in years. People milling around at all hours so no rest. Stayed with my family,including a young daughter and we heard an hour of swearing and a general tirade right outside our window with every other word the "f" or "mf" word. The police were there searching for drugs with their dogs. It was just a terrible experience and if it hadn't been dark, we would have left.

Use to be the Red Carpet Inn. Now full of truck drivers and construction workers who don't always use the best language. Also the front desk help thought he was Don Juan as he constantly laid on false flattery to any women in our group. It was kind of creepy coming from a total stranger. The restaurant was a bar full and our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as did the hallways even though smoking is prohibited. The front desk said there was nothing that could be done (he was a heavy smoker himself so not sure if that was true or not). The pool was Ok, but a bit dark. Overall not a good place for women or children, or for that matter anyone with lung trouble or sensitive ears.

1-22-11 I would sum up the Osseo Inn this way: strange but friendly. Strange – this rather large hotel was made entirely of concrete and cinder blocks. The hallways were cold and a little eerie, but the room was fine. Friendly – the gentleman behind the counter was helpful in choosing somewhere to eat dinner, and suggested up front that I use the internet in the breakfast area since the concrete building hindered the signal in our room. His dinner suggestion was absolutely fabulous, and later I discovered that the internet in the room worked just fine – as long as I stayed by the window. (And I had originally accessed the signal in the breakfast room which I believe helped.) The room was clean, affordable and pet friendly. We left too early the next morning to check out the continental breakfast.

No internet, no hot water, no heat (the halls practically had ice on them), no water in the pool, no breakfast (as of 7AM when I left), and no answer at the front desk when you call. The parking lot was fully of stinky diesel trucks running all night and drunk snowmobilers wandered the halls until 3AM. IT WAS A DISASTER!!! NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE.

the rooms were clean ,good firm bed , hallway smelled musty , it's located on a hill ??????? NO HOT WATER FOR SHOWER ??????? NO ONE TO COMPLAIN TO , NO ONE AROUND , THERMO WINDOWS FOGGED UP , ROOM HEATER DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY , NEVER AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE .
