Beautiful Decor and Atmosphere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/10
Loved everthing about the Hotel, free valet service, the room was lovely, well kept, super service, very courteous and friendly staff. Was there for the New Years package, and the Band, Food, everthing was absolutely super, the quality of the food was unbelievable, and the decor, is wonderful. we will be back in the summer, to go to the Island and Mansion. Also it will be the first place we consider for this years New Years celebrating, hopeing they have one. Recommending this hotel to all we know, for a great get a way, not to far from our area. As for the rating if 5 stars is the best we rate it 10.

Wish we could have stayed longer!
By Paris137, 08/03/09
Found this hotel just hours before our stay. Read the reviews and were hooked! Booked online before our arrival and were delighted when we walked thru the front door! It was beautiful! And the staff was wonderful! We booked a lower cost room and were happily upgraded upon our arrival. If you read the reviews, we weren't the first! The restaurant was delicious and very, very nice. If we lived in Parkersburg, we would frequent this delightful and delicious venue! The room was furnished with quality and style. We could not have been more delighted! We stayed in Room 508.

Expect the unexpected!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/19/07
While in Parkersburg for the annual Homecoming, we were in need of a place to stay. For years we'd been coming to Parkersburg for their world class 1/2 marathon that they do each year during the festivities. As we were going to go and get our race packet for the following days' race, I felt my feet start going through the front door of this charming old building. First to be wowed by the luxe lobby, then to be rendered speechless by the fact that they actually had a room available (granted this I'm sure isn't always the case for such wonderful accomodations, we were very fortunate.) and at a decent price. The view our room afforded us and the location of the hotel itself is beyond compare! With an amazing staff, wonderful breakfast (we actually had our breakfast delivered to our room at a fantastic price!) and all the amenities you could possibly want, I do believe that even after the events of the weekend and before they come again next year, we'll be back! If you get the chance to stay there, do NOT miss out on this experience!

if you're headed to Parkersburg, stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/25/06
The hotel was beautiful, clean, cozy, centrally located, and the food in the restaurants was outstanding as well (plus a Starbucks on site!). The hotel was the highlight of our stay- we were able to watch the local homecoming parade, relax on the patio, and enjoy the scenery without ever having to get in the car.

I would go back to Parkersburg just to stay at this Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/06
What a lovely hotel. It has the charm of the St Moritz in New York but not close to the price. The employee's were very helpful and courteous. What a wonderful secret in Parkersburg, WVA.

A wonderful get-a-way
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
I suggest staying in the Signature Suites. It is worth every penny and be sure to order breakfast in bed... simply incredible. My husband and I had a wonderful wedding night stay before we left for our honeymoon.

Exceeded My Expectations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/05
If you're in Parkersburg, you must stay at the Blennerhassett Hotel. All I can say is "wow." It's just been renovated, and they did a wonderful job. My room was stunning! The reservation person went out of her way to help me get just the right room, and once I arrived I found the rest of the staff to be just as attentive. And I didn't make it easy on them: I asked for all kinds of things. I had trouble setting up the internet service (my fault, not theirs), and they handled it beautifully. I asked for directions at the front desk to a local grocery store, and people were falling over themselves to help me. I went into the restaurant to get room service sent to my room, ordered, and asked for a 45-minute delay so I could go to the fitness center (which had all new equipment, by the way), and they arrived exactly 45 minutes later... to the minute! Checkout was easy. Everything was just great. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I go back anywhere near Parkersburg.

Fantastic hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/08/04
This is the best hotel (especially for the money) I have stayed in - beautiful, spacious, tastefully decorated room, super comfortable bed, TV with loads of channels, in room high-speed Internet, oversized bathtub, marble counters, etc. I was a little apprehensive booking into a "historic" hotel, but the room and other hotel facilities are very modern and top notch, although the decoration style does have the old country charm. The towels and the bath robes were thick and fluffy, the duvet felt like real down. There is a very nice restaurant downstairs, as well as a bar, both decorated in the historic tones with dark wood panelling and intimate lighting. I was also very impressed with the staff that were friendly and helpful, without being snooty, which is often the case in a fancy hotel.
