Nice family get away
By Michelle, 02/08/10
I liked we were able to bring our dog along for the weekend, there was a lot of grassy areas to let the kids play, including a play ground. The short walk to the beach was a nice path. The staff was friendly and accomadating.

Terrible place to stay.
By affy, 09/29/09
This place has the phoniest advertisement online. They say it overlooks the beach with balconies. No it dosnt. they totally lie. they balconies overlook nothing but more buildings and a field basically..If you are on the first or second floor the people above you you can hear everything.. and things you dont want to hear. ewww gross.. They also claim they are right on the beach. another lie. you have to walk a good 3/4 mile possibly more to the beach. Dont be fooled by their ad. There is no ocean view whatsoever. and these used to be apartments . and they are very tiny. The only good thing was the swimming pool. I agree with another poster. stay in seaside. much nice beach and clean. Long beach was so filthy and dirty you couldnt even go out in the water. Beware of the breakers. You will be disappointed if you stay here!!!!!

Pleasent Weekend Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/09
We stayed at the Breakers and my husband agree we had a great time. The locations is good if you do not want to be the center of town. It wasa great walking the dune trails to the beach and also following the trail to town which about a mile away. We enjoyed their out door hot tub. Out room was neat and clean. It s good to have a fully stocked kitchen and our check in/out process was easy. We will come back here again.

We had FUN!!
By Sara, 08/28/09
We enjoyed our stay atthe Breakers. Rooms are very nice. What we kite the most is the large property. Our kids were able to enjoy the beach, but also did swimming in the indoor pool, and they flew their kites. My husband and I enjoyed the view from our room and the out door hot tub. Staff was warm and friendly and the rooms are well taken care of by house keeping.

Visit Long Beach...Don't stay there!
By CHRIS, 08/16/09
August 6, 2009. After looking at every hotel in town (Long Beach, WA) and finding they were all dirty, dingy and old looking, we decided to check out "The Breakers" By this time, evening, we were exhausted. The first quote we were given at the desk by one clerk was $199.00 for two adults. I turned it down and the other clerk informed me of another room for $119.00. We took the room out of desperation. There was no view of the ocean, the room felt dirty, the chairs were badly stained, the shower had linoleum on the walls which was all moldy at the bottom as linoleum is not a water proof material...duh! We could hear everything in the room next door as a thin door separated both rooms. I am writing this review on this website because when I wrote a review for the Breakers website, they erased it! They only want positive feedback on their web-site so hopefully this review will save some of you looking! It is not worth the price and for a more deluxe, clean room, even less expensive, you can stay at Seaside....and it is a nicer beach! Happy Traveling.

A Great Place To Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/03/09
Our trip to the Long Beach was great. This was our first trip and did not know where to stay. Some friends of ours suggested staying at “The Breakers.” So we made reservations for a few nights. When we checked in the staff was warm and friendly. They helped us out with all our questions about “The Breakers” and the city of Long Beach. We were given room 435/436. An outstanding set of rooms. We did not know that the units are individually owned. The decor was perfect with a beach theme. Very clean rooms and a fully stocked kitchen with all new appliances and dishware. I was able to prepare meals with no problems. My kids had a great time playing with all the toys and games in the rooms. We watched movies at night and sat on the deck watching the ocean. My kids also had fun in the indoor pool. There are many things to do just on the hotel site. It has many acres of ground which my kids had fun on. We walked the short beach trail. The town has many things to do with cute little shops. I would highly recommend “The Breakers”. A great family orientated hotel.

Not too much to choose from in Long Beach!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/09
The Breakers was the most highly rated of all the places to stay just from what I had researched in a 2 day period, It was a great location just outside of the main town, I think there were only a few people staying there since there were no cars in the parking lot whats so ever so we asked for the best room with a view which we were willing to pay the price for and the woman (laura) we spoke to on the phone the 1st night was very friendly and helpful and willing to work with us then I called again the next day to ask a question and the woman we spoke to that day was so rude but we still decided to go, if it wasnt for Laura I would have never called back, anyway they ended up putting us in the "best room they had" with a fire place and the "best" view, which was a room for a pet owner that you could tell when you walked in the room it smelled so bad and the furniture was very uncomfortable with the couch cushons being too small for the couch, we couldnt even lay on the couch! they ended up putting someone with a dog next door that barked every time we walked around! maybe would have been ok if we had brought our dog but this was a weekend away from kids and pets and to relax on "vacation". it would have been ok but we were told it was the "best" and for that to be the best room around it was very standard and over rated but the other places to stay in town didnt really seem like much either so maybe this is the best for Long Beach! oh yeah and there really wasn't much to choose from as far as food goes either, we wanted a place with good seafood and was told there were alot of places in town for that but really the only place that really advertised seafood was "The Crab Pot" which was veeery over rated and very over priced for what was on the menu we thought this place would have a combination of crab, muscles, clams etc when we looked at the menu we were very disappointed not much to choose from and when we wanted fettuccini alfredo it was another $14 to add to crab on an already $12 dish we ended up walking out of this place, we ended up at a place called "42nd street Cafe" which was great service and food- a little pricey but worth it! Over all we had a fun trip but we had to make it fun, there was nothing in town that would make this an anniversary or honeymoon place to go maybe good for families just wanting to get away for a couple days!

Beware Beware Beware
By Frequent Traveler, 01/01/09
Unless you have a top floor unit the noise from the unit(s) above you will be unbearable. You can literally hear every step and the noise tramission between units is the worst I have ever encountered in 20 years of business and pleasure travel.. Management is totally unresponsive and perhaps unable to really do much when the real problem is likely poor constuction and the fact that some upper units apparently have tile and/or hard wood floors. Combine this with the fact that management's response is bascially "we are sorry but we can't really do anything". We had planned a longer stay during the Thanksgiving week but ended up checking out early. If you don't mind the noise the location, grounds, and beach are nice.

Some things never change
By Melissa, 03/02/08
I'm looking for a place to stay with my extended family. However, I will keep looking - I was hoping that management had changed and customer service had improved. Years ago, we had stayed there several times. However, I remember several occasions where the service, cleanliness was horrible. A great example, apparently someone who owned the condo in one of the upper units, had plumbing problems, which allowed water to flow from the top floor down to the bottom floor where we were staying with our three young children aged 2, 7, 9. Water was streaming out of the light switch, which I thought was potentially very dangerous. So, at 3am we were pounding on the door of the lobby, finally someone answered and they moved us into another unit. We asked for an adjustment, we were not offered one. Just be careful.

Right on the beach!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/07
The Breakers is a family-friendly place right on the water! The rooms are very expensive but the units are just like apartments right on the water! The staff is OK and the pool and outdoor hot tub is nice! I might return!
