Very Nice Hotel
By Brent, 4/23/12
I planned to just stay over in Spokane for the weekend for buisness travel and I found this hotel in my GPS. To my surprise I did not know that the whole city was booked for a major function. I was told that they only had 3 rooms left and prices were at there top prices. As I have a budget with my company, the reservationist was able to work with me on my price! I arrived to a beautiful hotel and the staff has been so helpful with things to do, places to go and what to see! Just here on buisness and they gave me so many places that I would have never even thought of checking out while I was here! Thanks for a GREAT WEEKEND!

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/2/10
After checking in, went to the cocktail lounge for a beer. Guess what? No draft beer available because the system was down and no one was going to fix it. The cocktails we ordered were terrible. We spent the next day at a wedding function and returned to our room at 8 :00 PM and found it just as we had left it that morning with no housekeeping having showed up. The room carpet was not the clean floor covering you would expect in a Red Lion. We did get a reduction on our bill at check-out, but this isn't the way it should work.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/09
My husband and I recently stayed there for a company sponsored function. The room was extremely small, possibly the closet of the room next door- the lighting was poor and we had a view of the roof and the A/C units. It was noisy by 7 am when staff started preparing for the day. The function was nice however, the banquet room was too hot and the reception room was freezing. We were surprised by the lack of tolietries in the bathroom.

great
By Sam, 10/6/08
the best place i've ever stayed, i attended a banquet held there recently, the banquet department has the best service i've ever recieved. The food was excellent. The staff were the most polite servers I've seen in a long time. I did spend the night and ate in the restaurant the next morning they were good but not as half as good as the banquet departments staff and management. Would go back again and again. Hats off to the banquet department and staff

Will not go back again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/5/08
Location is good but I would not recommend it to others. Room was dirty and a light out in the bathroom of which took two days to get them to replace it. Housekeeping left one bed half made and coffee never replenished.

Location is great!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/06
Our WA state Realtors Business Conference was just held there and I stayed 3 nights. I like the big pillows and I also bring my own pillows if I drive. The beds are very comfy with the pillowtop. I liked the remodeled rooms. The room I had, the bath was very tiny! I had to go side ways into the door or else bang my shoulders. One person could only be in there at one time. I am not very tall, and wonder if my very tall husband could have stood up in that shower/tub. I requested a clean shower curtain and they were there right away. The housekeeping was there after 12noon or later. I was gone to business meetings all day, so that didn't bother me. their wireless is not available till you sign up with their Net4 software and my wireless phone couldn't get the internet either without signing up. We are coming back next week for my husbands Union Conference so I will have him figure it out for the wireless service and I am going to bring my puppy girls. I scoped it all out and like the lower level rooms with direct access out to a patio and grass area, perfect to potty my girls. I also like the direct access to the Riverpark. So I plan on taking walks with my girls this next week. There are 2 restaurants, Windows, Atrium cafe & the Lounge & Expresso bar. I really had 2 wonderful meals at Windows and had excellant service. If you go there try the Mac&cheese dinner, very gourmet, with scallops, asparagus and Cougar cheese, just wonderful! I then had the steak the next night and requested Blue cheese and was given that right away and the views of the river was great too. The only thing that seems to need reorganizing is the location of the check in/out desk. If there is a long line it blocks a main thru way. The shuttle van service is great and we got shuttled to restaurants and shopping, just have to get on their schedule. Very good location in this very pretty city.

Location is great! I have been staying in this hotel for 20 years. The last three times my family and I stayed the service was horrible and rooms were dirty.

Not worth the prices
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/17/06
I have a friend who comes to Spokane often. This past weekend was her 2nd time staying at this Red Lion. This time wasn't up to par. She didn't get the room she asked for, nor could they help her get the room she reserved. Housekeeping wasn't there until late in the afternoon, and unless that is what the guest requests, it is completely unacceptable. Prices for breakfast are riduculous for what you get and I feel that they should have a contintental breakfast. Friday night we went down to the lounge, sat talking for several minutes and when no one came over to take our order, we went to the bar where there were 3 employees who told us that we needed to wait for the cocktail waitress to come back before we could be helped. So we left and spent our money else where. Of course it is a marvelous location, the outdoor pool is marvelous. Saturday when I took our kids to enjoy the pool there were no towels left. I promptly as the waitress out there if she would ask someone to bring out towels when she took her order in. 45 minutes later... no towels. I called the front desk who said they still haven't sent them out. I said no and in the middle of talking, she hung up on me. Another 1/2 hour past and still no towels. When you pay high prices, there is an expectation that you will get what you pay for, we didn't. I am very disappointed!!
