The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very nice and the hotel is so close to everything. We stayed 6 days and had a wonderful time. We will stay again and can't wait to go back!

Great value for a vacation package
By Cindy, 08/20/09
We select WHH as part of our vacation package every time we visit Williamsburg. I can't recommend the place highly enough! The value is excellent and the location is perfect, right in the middle of everything so it's worth spending just a little more than a budget hotel. It's clean, friendly, tastefully-decorated, and the rooms are nice and cool in summer. We love that we can park our car in the underground garage (low ceiling not suited for trucks and SUVs but there's a reserved lot as well) and that the hotel is within walking distance to downtown and the historic district. The walk there is absolutely lovely and pedestrian friendly too! The fitness center is minimal but had just enough for us to get a quick circuit workout in before heading out for the day. I'm grateful that the hotel even offers one. My husband loves playing the classic arcade games offered on the lower level as well and usually cuts his workout short to go do that while I finish up. The pool is a super nice touch. It's lap-swimming worthy but we spend a good bit of time splashing and floating around after long, hot days at Busch Gardens or touring around the historic sites. Private, clean, and towel service is offered so you don't have to use the bath towels. Nice. The drive to the amusement park is 10 - 15 minutes but we always stop at Sammy & Nicks Pancake House on the way there so I guess it takes a little longer. YUM! (Pecan waffles, all the way) I don't mind the tad bit longer drive because there's so much to do back at the hotel area, it makes it worth it. What we like best is the bar just around the bend on Scotland Street that is a great locals/student hangout serving microbrews and hand pumped ale! We were probably the oldest folks in the place (late 30s) but we didn't mind. If we needed any little snacks or sodas, there's a WaWa a couple of blocks down. Best hotel in Williamsburg and a great value when booking a vacation package.

Very Convenient and Pleasant Place to Stay
By Rose, 07/26/09
I picked this place off the internet with the intention of spending a few days relaxing and taking in Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestown. It was convenient to many different types of restaurants (as well as having a nice one on site). The room was a good size and the staff was helpful and friendly. While the school was not in session when I was there, I can see where this would be a favorite place for anyone visiting a student there. The wifi was part of a charge service (like lots of other hotels) and was a bit unreliable, but I don't think that downgraded my experience at all.

My Favorite Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/08
The HH is a great place to stay. Its location is ideal. It is across the street from the College of William and Mary and a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg and Merchant Square. There are lots of great restaurants nearby including their restaurant in the hotel. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Like I said- it is my favorite place to stay!

It's so convenient!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
We love how this hotel is so close to our daughter on the W&M campus so that she can walk to us and come take a shower in a clean bathroom. We also love to just park our car for the weekend and be able to walk to Merchant square and any place on campus without driving. It's great to be albe to walk across the street for football games. The Hospitality House is always our first choice for Williamsburg. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The brunch on Sundays is a perfect way to end the trip and feed a hungry college student.

Kindness during our families emergency
By Victoria, 10/03/08
My sons wedding was held in Williamsburg. All of our families, here in town and out of town stayed in WHH. Unfortunately, we had a serious family incident occur. With all the young neices and nephews, checking out on time was a worry and a challenge while family members had to be at Sentara Hospital. The staff was kind and generous beyond words. There was no additional charge for the very late check out. There was no charge for the room that was left unused. I feel it was a blessing that we were guest at WHH during this time. The hotel is very clean. Staff is extremely pleasant. Parking is easy and plenty of space. Great location to all restuarants and the campus of W&M. Thanks so much

Would definitely return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/08
This hotel had all friendly employees. This hotel was large and had 2 restaurants. There was also a bar, which had extremely nice and professional staff. They had 4 different parking lots, identified by colors, which was some times tricky to know what elevator to take to the correct under ground parking. I will definitely return.

Excellent Accomodations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/08
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ The Williamsburg Hospitality House....Great location to the College of William & Mary where my daughter had a summer internship...From the moment of check-in to the time of check-out, the front desk staff, housekeeping servers, restaurant folks, and the gift store were so very friendly, helpful and full of local information on what to do... I also noted they were as gracious to all the other guests while standing in line...The beds & pillows were the most comfortable ones I've ever slept on in any hotel, the rooms were kept immaculate, the food @ the in house restaurant "415 Grille" was delicious and reasonably priced, the service by all the staff was excellent! Loved the gift shop also, different ideas for gifts and a lovely attendant....Our 4th of July stay was terrific, despite the rain, and I would highly recommend The Williamsburg Hospitality House to anyone visiting the area....It was a pleasure to stay there! I'm also going to let my local travel agent know about this place for any possible group travel...

Even Better Than Anticipated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/08
My family and I went to Busch Gardens and stayed there for 2 nights. The employees were nice and hospitable just as the hotel name advertises. The rooms were clean and sized very well we had 5 people in one room and we were all very comfortable our room had an extremeley nice view for no extra charge they have the latest movies in the television available for purchase to be viewed during your stay for a whole lot less than buying, renting , or seeing the movie in a theatre. The game room is awful, dirty, and the games were innapropriate not for children. The gym was really nice although it was all the way on the last floor. The pool is small there is no lifeguard there are no reclining beach chairs and they have no indoor pool. The elevators are small and I do not recomend them to anyone who might have slight costophbia. Although they are gold elevators and look nice. The hotel was close to Busch Gardens but it is extremely easy to get lost not the best location for going to Busch Gardens.

Great Hospitality
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/04/08
My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a desk and reading chair that came in handy since I was there for a conference. There were no wash cloths the first night but that was corrected. William and Mary, Colonial Williamsburg, and great shopping were all withing walking distance. Breakfast in the room was very nice as well as the food in the restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. Checking out a little later than the 11 am deadline was fine.
